Beauden Barrett now prepared to hand over goalkicking tee more regularly

I like when both Richie and Beauden are on the park at the same time. What a combination they are, and they bring different skills and talent.. They are both great players.

If I remember right, Richie M failed to convert one of the tries, so he didnt kick at 100%.

Poorly written story Mounga didnt convert all his kicks as the written has written. He definitely missed the conversion of Reiko Ioanes try. Please get the facts right before you publish something.

Exactly. If a writer is going to quote stats to support an argument, then they need to get them right. Mounga kicked three from four. In Super Rugby this year Mounga was 78%, Barrett 84%.

If Beauden misses two goal kicks in a row within a game (especially at the beginning of the game), he should hand over the licking duties. If he converts two or more in a row, then we (and Beauden) will know hes in the sweet spot mentally.

But also take into account Jordie Barret took a lot of the more difficult kicks in place of Beauden, whereas Mounga took all the kicks while on the field in Super Rugby

Barrett reads the game perfectly. Its how hes usually in the right place at the right time. Mounga will get his time. He still needs to come off the bench for a while like every AB first five. Its not like Mounga is perfect. He has deficiencies too.

The problem is not only his goal kicking it is also his individual play that does not promote the rest of the team. Those sort of players do not make first fives when they dont have the ability to read the game. He needs to give away the first five position to a team player and test first five like Mounga as well. He is to good to leave out so move him to where he is at his lethal best and that is fullback where he is the equal or better of Cullen at least in terms of longevity without the shot knees that Cullen shortened his career with. Bender is equally a good wing as fullback so run a lethal attack of Beaudy, Bender and Reiko from the back with Mounga guiding us around the field for the better of our attack.

Irrelevant and pointless facts deserve down votes too!

doesnt matter if its barrett or richie same colors same country.gotta support the boys.. thats what matters

@annon. Well you could also factor in that Barrett has to kick half of his in windy Wellington whereas Mounga has half of his in Chch.

No you are wrong BB is a 10 and I am a die hard all black fan

Nah rather have the best player in the world playing where he is most comfortable and where Steve Hansen wants him because he knows and we dont know the team like he and the selectors do!

@annon only kicks JB took is the 45 metre plus kicks beyond BBS range. Why are people so content on bringing BB down for its irritating and the real kicks are the sideline kicks the ones that BB mostly took!!

Really you cant understand the down votes!!!

BBs game management has a long long way to go, to get anywhere near the class of DC.

so what depicts a natural 10?please explain the natural from the unnatural...Im so keen to learn cheers

Beauden Barrett is less consistent than Dan Carter, but over the course of an Abs season contributes as much if not more than Dan. He will stay at 10, and should stay at 10 until they either win the world cup or get knocked out of the world cup. Hes earned it, and he deserves it.
