Will the one dimensional Laumape gang please now shut up? Vision to throw a long pass to Coles, two kick thrus for tries ( one for himself and one for Bridge) one crash try, offloads, a backing-up try, secured a turnover. Even caught a restart. Plus hes had a few runs on the wing in Super and is pretty handy there. But hell be on the plane home while SBW continues his average form.

All franchises have their rabid/precious fans. Although Auck and Otago fans seem to be the best behaved at the moment. No real fan of rugby generally would stick the boot into Mounga or Barrett. Theres some terrible Canterbury fans who are precious in their own way, still bagging Barrett even though he had a blinder. Theres terrible Canes fan who are an embarrassment by knocking Mounga, who is untested but hopefully gets a shot soon. And even if he fluffs his lines first up, doesnt mean he wont get lots better. We all know who these fans are, and theyll never stop, even when their one eye gets a cataract.

The line that cracks me up is â˜the selectors know that Moungas tactical direction and passing accuracy from the No. 10 position are far superior. Mark - please explain how you KNOW what the selectors know. Id be really interested in that. Do you hack their emails or read their minds?

Choosing Laumape is not that radical. Management cited combinations last week by choosing Crotty/Goodhue, which I totally agree with. If Crotty returns then that is still a great option. So this week its an established 10/12 combo. ALB is awesome too. And there are plenty of others in the midfield who are a whisker away, just like in the outside backs. ABs second team would likely deal to most internationals.

Totally agree. Whenever the boxing debate comes up supporters argue that people die from head injuries in mountain climbing, skiing, horse riding, etc. so why pick on boxing. But the aim of those sports is to be faster, go higher, etc. and injuries are a result of the risks involved. The primary aim in boxing is to inflict brain trauma upon your opponent. Thats the bottom line.

I can explain. By law schools have to open for student instruction a set number of half days each year. 384 I think. So when a school has a teacher only day during a term they have to then extend the end of the school year by a day. So parents dont have any more days to look after their kids ( as thats what most parents complain about). But lots of parents dont understand this.

You clearly dont understand the current management teams strategy then. Its all about scoring more tries than the opposition. Its been like that for years, hence the fast pace, forced passes, etc. High risk, high return, relying on perfect execution. And with Hansens succes record you cant deny it works.

I heard it explained by a sports doctor a while ago. He said the impact needed to cause concussion was like a fall of approx. 3 metres. If you drop a watermelon from 3m, it shatters and the insides turn to mush. If you put a watermelon inside headgear and do the same, it doesnt shatter, but the insides still turn to mush.

This is my second attempt to place a factual comment on this thread. In 2005 an All Black was convicted and fined, along with two others, for shooting a fur seal in Otago. There seems to be an abundance of string em up, throw away the key, shoot them, etc. comments, but I bet the same rules dont apply to rugby royalty?

Even if he did have a full game there are too many variables to compare players. What if the pack has an off day and are always going backwards? What if the opposition are on fire? What if the opposition have an off day? What if your halfback has a shocker? There's NEVER any way to compare players from one test to the next. Too many variables.

Mounga certainly deserves to be in the mix, and Barrett and McKenzie are established and can play more than one position, but test rugby is a different beast, BB has looked flat and lacked spark in his running game, but its funny how the main complaint about him in the last two seasons has been his goal kicking. If only he could kick goals, hell lose us a test because of it.... Super stats 2018 - BB 85%, Mounga 78%, McKenzie 74%. So lets hope he gets his mojo back behind a good pack.
