If the June 2016 meeting was totally legal and done all the time then why did they hide it then a year later when it was exposed they lied about it? They knew it was illegal and Trump senior knew about it beforehand. Trump junior is in deep trouble since he lied under oath before Congress.

The meeting was held in June 2016 and not revealed publicly until July 2017. So now its been public knowledge for about a year. But they hid it for a year.

Both Muldoon and Peters were not adversed to a bit of muck raking, but I find it hard to accept theyd accept that muck from a foreign and hostile nation. It just highlights the naivety of Trump and his supporters that this was OK.

In their defence, they dont have to work very hard - Trump gives them easy meat every day.There will be plenty of legal proceedings to report on once hes booted out - hell go down in history as the most divisive POTUS in history and will be prosecuted for a range of illegal activities.Ironically for him, hell unwittingly provide those he calls the fake news with enough material to allow them to retire early on a tropical island. You miss the point. Digging dirt on political oponents IS part of the game. Seeking support from the agents of a foreign power in order to influence an election IS a crime. A YUGE BIGLY crime. (Sorry caps lock got stuck there. Finger of God perhaps?)It remains to be seen if this crime can be proven in court. There does however appear to be sufficient prima facie evidence for the former head of the FBI to keep on sleuthing.
