The same person who ran away from the Auckland Open because it was windy feigning injury only to immediately start playing another event in Australia. She lost any and all respect I had for her that day which she will never ever get back regardless of what she does. She was probably the greatest ever but time for her too go and look after her baby.

Wonder how all those that extrapolated their spreadsheets to show that renting rather than buying 5 -7 years ago as they were making more off their investments was the best option. Havent heard much from them the last few years . A bit like the bitcoin pushers have gone silent especially in the last two weeks bitcoin has dropped another 2500 - 3000 US dollars to way under 4000 dollars from a 20,000 high last Xmas.

Maori hit in weed war , Maori not treated equally in health , Maori in Australia discriminated against and more similar articles recently. More Maori are in prison for simple possession of marijuana as a statement to prove Maori are disadvantaged is not a very good example.. Need a lot more than simple possession to be given a prison sentence.. It is a sick racist health system. Racist against who. Just Maori it seems as every other nationality that goes to the health providers seem to get the same as everyone else , This sounds more like an attempt too create division than anything else. This is what they do in America. Create division within different groups of people so everyone is fighting each other creating an unstable environment which is easier to control than if most were united .. It looks like a systematic importation of an American product we do not need in this country.

Serena Serena Serena. How about an article solely about the magnificent game that Naomi Osaka played to win the US Open. She afterall rightfully deserves the spotlight for her incredible win rather than the continued focus on the loser .. Will Karl Budge be able to get the winner back too Auckland and no we are not interested in the loser as she BLEW her chance last time.

Even with the Auckland regional tax they are still paying LESS than Wellington and the South Island and they want too cry. Some people seem to think that the rest of us are paying the Auckland Regional tax. No , their petrol price was so much lower before that was implemented that they were still going to be cheaper. The price of petrol has gone up 35 odd cents since the government changed hands , 3.5 cents of that is an additional tax , the rest is ... well work it out. OPEC oil has gone up 30% since election day from 55 a barrel to 86 last week but it has dropped since then. While National were in power oil was 45 to 50 dollars a barrel mostly , rising to 55 just before the election. So much easier too blame the new government than look at the facts. None so blind as those that refuse to see. What is this truck protest going to achieve , much the same as the petrol day protest .. Nothing .. It just took me 2 seconds to see the price of Brent crude right now is down 6 dollars a barrel. Expect a 6 cent drop in petrol at the pumps soon, yeah right as if that is going too happen ..

Yes we could all wear the same dull grey clothes and cap , all cut our hair to 3 approved styles , all talk in the same monotone so we could all be happy. No wonder those people in North Korea are always so ecstatically happy..Next week it will be a story about people who have three toes on one foot and only one on the other are being victimised for not shaving their armpits on Saturdays. Thank goodness some one cares ..

Australia played well this Championship. They lost to NZ twice , South Africa once and also lost too Argentina . Are they going to play Japan and do the have excuses already made for when they lose too them.. Kearnzie just get used too it. Your team is just a bunch of losers.. If you want to back a team of winners go and follow Aussie Rules as they dont lose International games. Probably why they invented the game that no one else plays.

Read the Balfour Declaration in particular the bit about the inhabitants of Palestine. nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, Instead they got chased out of their homes . off their lands and herded into an open ghetto prison camp and you wonder why they rebelled. If the same happened to you and your family you would of course say , shes right mate yeah right.

As for a gateway drug a study was taken showing that every Formula One race driver that was killed also rode a tricycle when they were a child. So chances are if your child rides a tricycle then that is a gateway too him being killed in a Formula One race. I smoked marijuana for over 30 years all around the world and on a daily bases for many of them . I can tell you the gateway comes from getting drugs off gangs who wish too push more financial rewarding drugs..

I think in Norway they have set up where part of their superfund financed from their oil is used too aid start up companies that show promise. They have the experts organise and help the company and once it is going well and in a strong position sell out and return the funds for helping the next enterprises. This was done for when the oil runs out that the money earned is not wasted and basically still there invested for the future. It is hands off totally politically as would have to be here if they did something similar.

Many countries have now banned arms sales to SA with Finland being one of the latest. Yet Trump doesnt wish to lay blame where it should so he can continue with arms sales plus his own personal business dealings. It is easier to blame the rest of the nasty world but I do remember with the scantest of evidence he was quick to blame Putin for a poisoning and imposed sanction immediately. Again in Syria upon the word and evidence of terrorists he was quick to bomb that country. How strange with almost irrevocably evidence it is so hard to respond except to lay blame elsewhere.

They are not giving them away. Looks like you have to spend heaps of dollars before accumulating enough points too get anything. So a reduction of a cent or two is hardly going to make much difference too your grocery cost. Probably save much more if you shopped somewhere cheaper .

In America divisions are created and enhanced amongst different groups too create a distraction so that while they are fighting and arguing with each other they are becoming blind too what is really going on in the background..Democrat against Republican , White v Black v Hispanic Female v Male , Old v Young, Rich v Poor and on and on..Similar is happening in Britain and Europe. Is this Maori v Injustice v Treaty Settlements just another contrived distraction too focus attention away from what is quietly happening in the background.

Well if you think about it , it all makes sense now. The last election the Chinese voters were all voting National as they had been told they would lose their PR or citizenship status if National lost . Where did they get this from , obviously the rich Chinese buying influence in the National Party using scaremongering tactics to make their investments pay off. How long has this been going on. Before someone said they loved rich Chinese business people. I lived in Asia for a year and bribery , corruption and back pocket payments are just a normal way of doing business. No less normal than filing out a GST return.

This is what happens when you are incompetent with money regardless of how much you earn or which party is in power. Read Jaffa Cakes comment , you are most likely in the second group. My brother used too earn twice as much as I , we were paid on a Friday ( Aus) come Monday he would forever ask to borrow money. He was like that all his life no matter what he earned and never had anything too show for it.

It could, the IMF implied, send a message to the rest of the world that New Zealand discriminated against foreign investors. We are not discriminating against foreign buyers but trying too look after our own people first. Can we go and buy a house and land in China ??. I read the other day that Australian Millennials despair any chance of owning their own home especially Melbourne and Sydney. Maybe marginally able too in Adelaide and Brisbane.. Same story in Britain. Hong Kong , cant even buy a shoe box let alone an apartment the size of our average lounge. Sorry but our people first IMF..

In USD of course-38 percent of all American workers made less than $20,000 last year.-51 percent of all American workers made less than $30,000 last year.-62 percent of all American workers made less than $40,000 last year.-71 percent of all American workers made less than $50,000 last year.1 NZD = 0.674646 USD↔US Dollar1 USD = 1.48226 NZD30,000 X 1.48 = 44,400 NZD So 50% of Americans earn less than 45,000 but everything is much cheaper to buy there.

Exactly and this also brings into question how did other ethnic National MPs gain their seats. By the same method . It also brings into question how did Chinese and other foreign companies gain access too free New Zealand water for profitable export. Does that also include large parcels of land being sold overseas. How much of New Zealand is for sale ?

+13−1

Because there is a law that says no one is allowed too SELL water. There needs to be a law change too say foreign companies can not take water . Water is becoming the most precious resource in the world and wars will be fought over control of it.

You only lose money if you sell . Boy have you got a lot to learn. !!! I , like many others have had shares in companies that have crashed and delisted with NO return whatsoever. The last one was a couple of years ago in Australia. Doing very well then all of a sudden the price started dropping , the CEO sold all his shares and then a trading halt that continued until the shares were not worth a penny each. A certificate stating 100,000 shares not even worth the paper it is printed on.. Oh but of course you would have seen it coming like no one else did but the insiders closest too the action..Go and have a look at the top companies prior to the 87 crash and see how many survived to Xmas and how many became worthless .. worthless as in absolutely no value and never recovered .. And you wonder why those with burnt fingers have a reticence about jumping in to the whirlpool..

When that financial collapse happened an International Finance expert gave out a list of the top 10 countries in the world that he expected too survive the crisis the best. New Zealand was included. Australia was not. I cant remember all the others but there was Canada , Norway , Switzerland , a South American country , not sure which. His view was that NZ was in a healthy financial position and as a exporter of food and other primary products was expected too survive the crisis in a healthy state. It would have been mismanagement not too have . Experts have for a few years been warning nothing has been fixed and at some stage everything is going south .. Trade War never have a happy outcome. Already Trump is going too pump Billions into American farmers too make up for losses they face because of return tariffs placed on them by other countries .. Peters warned of a slowing international economy when he announced witch party he was going with but most laughed at him .. All Politicians use smoke and mirrors too obfuscate for their advantage or too hide the truth .

The actual cost is irrelevant. The best way to work out if a car is getting cheaper or not is how many months (weeks) salary does it take too purchase a new vehicle. If 5 years ago it took 40 weeks as compared too today with 34 weeks then yes the vehicle is getting cheaper.

These expenses I believe were going to be made public in days or weeks so Bridges should have let it all quieten down while while investigating internally . How many wasps can Simons stick swat before ...

The only people that will pay an inheritance tax are the poor that cant afford a lawyer too transfer wealth and assets to family without paying tax. eg from America. A wealthy man created a company and transferred all his assets to it then made his children directors. The company did nothing other than exist . The children could then give themselves directors fees and bonuses without inheritance tax involved whatsoever..

It is said the Chinese base their Foreign policy on a thousand years whilst America base it on like playing one hand of poker. Macau was handed back to China in 1999 after 440 years of rule by Portugal. It has a semi autonomous rule SAR just like Hong Kong was in 1997 when England handed it back too China. It has always been the number one objective of China for Taiwan to return too Chinas rule which within 1000 years it is expected to do so. How you can claim because the biggest number of tourists are Chinese indicated that this objective is not so is just like your present hand of poker . Are you going to bluff your way through or use discretion and fold.

What about the hundreds and hundreds of foreign girls , mostly from every country in Asia and South America who apparently come here on a tourist visa and spend their time as working girls most likely not paying tax. A fair percentage of them , possibly Chinese and others maybe sent here to make money for other than themselves. Because of NZ sex worker protections which fully agree with makes NZ a soft target for a lucrative trade. Most advertise themselves on an NZ online site for that purpose which shows just how many and what countries they are from is mind boggling..

Doesnt matter which God or Deity you believe in or whatever you say , incantations , beg or offer for a cure to homosexuality nothing changes a homosexual into a straight . It may change the outside too appease those who can not accept reality but the inside will stay the same. Even as a straight who grew up in the homophobic 60s knows that. Any religion or church or group that tries to change someone too fit in with their ignorant beliefs is not worthy of calling themselves anything other than demented intolerant bigot.

They talked about doing this in the 1960s or filling oil tankers with water but they worked out it takes 4 million litres of water to make one tonne of wheat and one tonne of wheat takes far less room than 4 million litres of water. 2000 litres of water to make ONE kg of sugar ,3400 litres of water to make ONE kg of rice so towing a melting iceburg was regarded as madness then and probably more so today.

All the officials were men and it was a great game to watch. I did however change channels before the kiss so I missed that but would have happily accepted that as opposite team members saying thanks for the game the same as men pat each other on the back. I might have been shocked in the 1960s but have seen a lot more of the world since then. Steve Menzies ( Manly ) came out as gay but I guess he didn;t find another player to do the same after the game. What is more important , the game ( wasnt the Tonga Samoa game brilliant ) or players personal life as long as it doesnt break the law , no one elses business.

Exactly .. A tonne of information on their online share trading platform.which is so easy to use. Includes trading on the Aussie sharemarket through The Commonwealth Bank . Gave up using brokers years ago. Are ASB the only bank too to have that ?? . Would have thought all major banks did..

When was the election. I believe there are doctors that specialise in treating that or you could save it up for the next time. It does get tedious , from both sides , after awhile . I was against MMP when it was voted in but in time I have come to understand the better representation it gives people even if I dont agree with some of the parties. Give it time or be consumed by it.

Didnt they originally say there was to be an internal garage for patrons cars which would take care of parking. The Bank of China HQ or Lippo Centre are a couple of impressive buildings in HK would be nice but I guess the designers here are not quite so adventurous here.

Thank God it has improved since then. Bus loads of Japanese have given way to plane loads of Chinese so just push in front of them , they are used to it. With internet accommodation finders there is ALWAYS a bargain to be found in Qtown , apart from absolute peak holidays , and even then if one is quick then maybe , Restaurants in Invercargill are the same price as Qtown so if the prices there are over the top then what are they here. There are plenty of places too eat without having to get a bank loan . Car parking is a problem but I am not saying where I park so next time we go I will still be able to find one. There are still so many places that are quiet , peaceful with the original reasons why people went to Queenstown before someone let the cat out of the bag and FREE that too turn your back is like ripping your nose off just to teach your face a lesson.

Well try and get your head around this. Lumsden has been growing because of ... wait for it ... drum roll please... TOURISTS. I always stop there on the way too Queenstown or back home . Years ago they used too bus Queenstown workers too work and back. Not sure if they still do it .

The price of oil was probably 150 dollars a barrel in 2008 as opposed to 60 dollars last week. So please compare apples with apples. exchange rates also come into play. Shell sold to what became Z in 2011 and pricing structures change or doesnt that count. There is a massive increase in seller margin now compared to 2008.Are you and Axion working for a petrol company.

They are probably taking the tax out of that. Some companies pay the tax due on their contribution on top , most take the tax out of their 3% contribution. That is a 17% deduction.

When I came back from overseas in 1986 they had opened up the banking sector so there were over 30 banks. Slowly the banks with a heart were taken over by stronger meaner banks until we have what we are left with today. No one cared or supported the Kiwi banks so instead of having Kiwibank as a powerhouse they along with TSB and SBS are minnows. Nothing will change , people will moan and cry but apart from a few will carry on as they have done. At least they are Australian banks and not American.. As a matter of interest who owns the Aussie banks..National Bank NZ was originally owned by Lloyds Bank of UK

Looks like Martin Jay is an award winning British journalist is right . how does the Saudi media machine work, exactly?Better than you might realize. Saudi Arabia's own PR model, unlike other Arab countries, relies heavily on other GCC countries reprocessing their tomes of fake news and state-funded propaganda, coupled with an impressive number of heavyweight Saudi-financed think tanks in DC regurgitating the same stodge and an impressive phalanx of online bots contributing to the mix.Don't laugh. It's a set up which serves them very well, and filling newspaper columns and the airwaves with ˜news' manufactured in Riyadh “ assisted by third-party, supportive outlets in the region who are happy to publish it without caring about its authenticity “ is a policy which works pretty well. And international media are only too happy to replicate it, given the almost entirely ˜news free zone' that Saudi Arabia is, with no real media operating there in the first place “ which, in turn, affects the ability for foreign journalists to operate there as well.Case in point: women's driving licences. You would have thought this was a story which would be a news item both regionally and internationally for not more than one day. In reality this is a story which is going to run. And run. And run.

If they hadve beaten the Bulldogs then they would have had a home final. Now they have to play Penrith at home which wont be as easy as last week or if the Broncos dont beat Manly as expected today then they will play St George at home which will be touch and go on the day. If they manage to win they will need more than good luck to beat the loser of the top four in Sydney.. One win separates the top 8 teams so it is only points differential that ranks them. How close is that..
