The evidence of how god-awful this thing is can be seen every week day on Lambton Quay from 5pm onwards. On both sides of the road, all along LQ there are hundreds of people standing, waiting for buses; so many more people waiting than there ever was before. And you can see full buses rolling up, with little room for any more passengers. What occurs to me is the previous network did so much more with seemingly fewer buses, but this one can barely cope despite the insane numbers of buses and routes there now seems to be, and needs even MORE....

I live in Karori and I now drive to work because of buses not turning up, or not stopping because theyre packed. Wait for the next, exactly the same scenarios. There is only one - ONE! - school bus my WGC student can catch because thats all that there is, and when it gets here, its too full and seriously unsafe. So you can take your high and mighty, and pipe down. Your experience is most certainly not everyones.

The underlying reason why we cant go back is the fact that the previous network â“ decades old â“ was no longer up to the job.The GWRC says this but never once have they explained WHY. Clearly the brokeness of the new system throws into sharp relief that the pervious network was most certainly up to the job! So take your ridiculous hub thing, and put the network back the way it was.

The hare-brained plan is to start constructing the Karori Tunnel bus hub in late-August. Yes, thats the teeny piece of road between the tunnel and the Rigi, through which all the traffic in Wellingtons largest suburb must pass to get to Kelburn or Glenmore St. If you think were moaning now, just WAIT till that starts and youll wish you were never born.

Yes. And as Ive said before, you aint seen nuthin till the Karori hub construction starts. Largest suburb in Wellington, one tunnel-access, narrow strip of road with 4 intersecting roads, and theyre gonna shove a two-way hub on it - just waiting for the train wreck.

There are, actually. You structure your mortgage: get three loans: two are low-rate fixed for, say, 2 years, and one is floating. You pay the fixed loans in the usual way. The floating mortgage, which has no early payment restriction, you hammer that with all the extra you can find and pay it off as quickly as you can. We blew off a substantial amount doing this, so when the 2-year fixed loans were up for renewal, we divvied the amount up again, and started over, with a much lower overall figure. Not many bank managers tell you this, because theyre only interested in making as much off you as possible. But TSB Wellingtons manager was very free with this info, because its in our best interest, and happy customers keep coming back.

Its a shame that a once-awesome foodie festival has come down to a burger contest. I mean, burgers.... really? WOAP used to be exceptional - still is, but you have to wade through all the burger BS to find the real pros doing amazing food. Maybe split this silly sideshow off and let the serious foodies back in.

Just another RW media non-story. Everyone remembers all the times over 9 interminable years of Gnational how the MSM didnt immediately seek the Oppositions POV on all the many instances of incompetence, lying, cover-ups (450 texts anyone?), etc etc by the then govt. We know the slant is always to the Right. And were ashamed for you.
