Is this in response to the fathers article that bought some balance to the subject? This is not a common occurance, Approx 80% of mothers win in court and instead of the mother being alienated as in this story, its the fathers being alienated and financially crippled. Morally of the story being, the system needs to change to be fairer and adults need to do things in the best interests of the children.

Its deeper than that though. In this interconnected interdependent world of tech where you can find anyone within minutes...the IRD, should, know when you pass because all the systems should work together and talk. And a failure of process in dealing with a grieving person is a failure of training. But at the end of the day, they dont care. To the Government, you are a number, no matter what Government dept you are talking to. I wasnt trained to think that this person has lost their partner might need to treated a bit more delicate because it doesnt fit the flow chart they have on their fancy one way talking PC.

And youd still get a fine. I had a situation where I was told to pay an amount, so i did. It wasnt quite right. The calc was done by them so I paid the remainder which ended up being too much so they refunded me minus the fine for late payment of the original amount....think theyd refund the fine after a complaint. Not a chance. Their system is broken before its begun.

A Co-op like Fonterra must adapt to the market and build resilience being so isolated from the world. Good due to its size but not mobile enough to react unless someone like the CEO and boffins paid big money implement those steps. Maybe they should pay me a tenth of what they earnt and Ill show them how its done. Exec pay and company bottom line performance have no correlation.

What about the people who do earn the $120 or more who are paying child support, rent etc that at the end of the day dont actually have access to be able to borrow also. Its all good in a perfect world where you have a couple earning and no kids, throw life in the mix and its still untenable. Especially the actual cost of the house itself. Then theres the question of having a deposit to start with, which is the root cause of the issue. A funder wont lend unless you have a substantial deposit, even when you can afford the payments.

Reading the comments. People wake up. If you think people dont talk that way about you behind your back youre not a realist. It was a private conversation set up by JLR. Regardless of my political alignment there is nothing in that tape that says anything at all. JLR is burned and is scrambling to back something up. Simon could own that though and if thats how he felt, stick to it. This day and age once things are said they cannot be unsaid.

Of the modernish era, Laurie Mains was by far the worst with 67% win rate, then Wayne Smith at 70% and then John Hart at 75%...Mitchells actually second best across 10 coaches from 1980 on. But as others have said, more the players than the coach.
