Absolutely agree. its the way the world has worked for the past two hundred thousand years, the weak tribe (either in numbers or weoponry) gets beaten by the stronger tribe,( in this case the British) the weaker tribe either is wiped out or gets assimilated into the stronger tribe, together they form a stronger hybrid tribe and move on to bigger and better things, thats how civilisation has developed over countless millennia. when seen against this backdrop, what the British did was totally in tune(rightly or wrongly) with how mankind had behaved for the last two hundred thousand years. Should we relitigate every one of the millions of conflicts that happened in those times. Im Scottish, we got beaten up by the English for centuries, tho we fought bravely and had a few wins along the way, but that was then, and this is now. Im not claiming that my current situation..ie earning less than the average wage is due to British domination of 200 years ago, no, its down to me cos i didnt study hard enough at school and left early, my fault!...

No surprises here, the left wing self described intelligentsia will treat her as a hero, such is their hate for the US and capitalism, ( never mind that if their was no such thing as capitalism these people wouldnt enjoy the standard of upper middle class living they have today).. also never mind that this person is a convicted traitor who sold hundreds of her fellow countrymen/women up the river just because of her concience, how selfish can one person get. And the jury is still out as to whether any lives were lost as a result of her conciense

I wonder if any of the women touched one of the strippers? if so, how is that different from the Chiefs players allegedly touching the female stripper in the incident a couple of years ago, and dont tell me the male strippers didnt mind so thats ok, from my information there is plenty of touching going on at these male stripper night out for the girls.

Cant believe Hansen said hes had an off night but we have to accept that or words to that effect. BB has had a good season with the boot in Super rugby, but really his goal kicking woes have been around for years, and we get told that his technique has improved etc, but you would never bet on him on any given night, and we cant afford that next year in the world cup.

My favourite game rugby is turning into a farce, Fall just clumsily mistimed his jump, you can see him just start his jump as Barrett catches the ball, should have been a yellow card. my other observation is that luke Whitelock always tackles low, unfortunately Squire is still tackling high, he might be a hard man, but Squire can be a loose cannon, and is a red card waiting to happen.

where was this unconcious bias in the 2007 world cup, when we were shafted by a blatant forward pass that was not called, and the Lions last year when an obvious offside against the lions was not ruled..which if the resultant penalty had been kicked would have won us the series, but the Ref bottled it, Im sure there are times when we have received the benefit of the doubt, just as there are many times that we havent.

It seems to me that these stats are misleading, early in the article it says 76% of injuries are at the tackle, later it says 47% of injuries are associated with the tackle, which is it?. Also it seems to me tackling lower isnt going to fix the problem as often the head clash is between two teammates tackling the same guy, that usually happens during a lower tackle, plus encouraging lower tackles puts the tackler more often around the hip area of the ball carrier, and thats where Ive seen many concussions as the tackler gets the ball carriers hip in the head, how is lower tackling going to fix that??

This guy wants free speech alright, just as long as its his type of free speech, He seems to pour scorn on the people that by and large want to protect some/most of the so-called old fashioned values that most of us deem important in running a family and society. Be careful what you wish for millennials.

Lets see how Read pulls up next year, Hes not necessarily a spent force, when he played the tramlines a few years ago of course he looked great, he was often getting the ball with just a couple of small outside backs to get past, of course he scored tries and created tries for others when he played the tramlines, obviously that was a tactical call by the coaches for him to play out there, the last three or four years the coaches have wanted him much more in the centre of the field to do a bit more graft, so of course he is not going to stand out as much.

This is my worry also, we all know about the Portugal experiment etc, but the things i have read have lightly glossed over the mechanics of it, The figures just seem to trumpet less deaths, Im more interested in how many addicts were rehabbed so they discontinue using drugs altogether so they became less of a drain on the Health system of portugal, I would like to know if this system of treating addicts as a health problem just means you tacitly acknowledge the addict as a drug user and say thats okay we will now fund your drug addiction legally through the public purse.

What does treating it as a health issue actually mean in practical terms...she doesnt say, what evidence is there that this will work, other than to make drug use more prolific because young people will no longer have the stigma of breaking the law hanging over them. The health bill will climb another few billion even as the prison roll drops.

yes it seems he overstepped the mark and probably should apologise, but what does this say about our youth drug culture, and the politically correct efforts from people like Ross bell to protect these young people from any type of censure. It seems obvious judging from the backlash from fellow students that they are also similarly involved in what is admittedly soft drugs, but surely this ongoing drug use cannot be helping these kids to get an education....and they most likely have borrowed money to get there.
