Would fitting GPS tracker work? Should be unnecessary but there are so many selfish people out there who seem to feel the world owes them. Work hard and respect others, people ! They wont be reading this anyway.
I bought a home in an area in Hamilton 40 years ago that was mixed state homes, double state units, owner occupied units and owner occupied homes. It turned into a near slum with unkempt state homes, crime and constant police raids.....I moved! Nightmare. Im with Mark. I dont like him but I get it.
Hear, hear. Sorry that this hasnt changed yet. I copped this attitude almost 50 years ago as a single mum. To be honest, it was the last thing on my mind, I just didnt have the time or energy. Maybe another 50 years will see an improvement.
Rubbish! I have lived (very comfortably) on Super for the last 5 years. Yes I did move from a city to a smaller town although I was already mortgage free. I was a single parent on a minimum wage but had purchased a small unit. I now have a gorgeous cottage on a larger section. It was the best thing Ive ever done. I still have all the amenities and also a great community, which I didnt have in a large city. Even if I had stayed in the city I would have managed easily.
Why life insurance as a pensioner? I had a prepaid mortgage repayment insurance but I cancelled life insurance as soon as my kids were independent. Also, $200 per week on food? Wow. Thats more than my monthly spend. I do have fruit trees and a small garden.
Because you only pay one lot of rates, insurance etc. Some costs are more or double but many stay the same whether its one person or two. When your wife turns 65 you will each receive half of the double pension.
I was thinking the same thing as I read the story. I always bought olive oil spread thinking it would be a healthy option. (there are several brands) Then I read the ingredient list and realised there is almost no olive oil in them. Silly me, sucked in again.
