Listen up, married men and women: What single women want you to know

Amazing how some women profess to speak for all others - we.Hilarious in the age of consent that nonsensical drivel like this is written, when all you have to say is NO thanks. All the while the pretence is yet more self victimisation, and habitually ramming YOUR own thoughts down the throats of all women. People (both genders) indulge in extra marital sex, its no great secret, and Im not condoning the behaviour either ... but really?.Its easy enough to say NO thanks, and get on with life, all without writing a whole article supposedly with the support of all we women.

....and maybe if you didnt give your phone number to married men they wouldnt get confused signals and call you.

These articles just never ring 1 to me; I just get an overwhelming sense that the journo has been given an assignment for the Saturday Lifestyle section and has had to cobble something together hours before the deadline. In real life, even desperate Australian men employ a little more subtlety than ringing a single woman, discussed a date and stipulating their only requirement is that it ends in her bed.

Its not the gendered issue you make it out to be. You only perceive it as a gender issue because it is mostly males who are attracted to you. If you were a single man you would realise that it still happens (with married women instead).

A lot of guys are pretty unsophisticated a lot are not, so what. A lot of single women are lonely a lot are not so what. Some people will have fantasies about you some will not, some will try to act on them some will not. Its called life, embrace it.

If you are going to cheat, male or female, its on you. Single women as a group are not virtuous. Many single women are happy to shag married men. Who this author purports to be representing doesnt exist.

I was happily married for 33 years until my wife died. It would never have occurred to me to ask out any of the many single attractive women I met during that time. My wife and I were devoted to each other. It baffles me why anyone gets married if they are still playing the field.

Amen to this comment.

Now listen up single women: Just because I am rich does not mean that I want you hanging about throwing yourself at me trying to be a trophy wife. Dont pity me for having money, you hear that single women.

If it was the case, so many single women wouldnt end up destroying other womens marriages (as often the wives put it, after finding out). Two of my wifes single friends have both slept with married men. In my experience often married men prey on women not so close to home (and will just take what they can get). Often women prey on their friends partners (its more sinister and emotional).

As a single guy I say hear hear. Leave the single ladies for us, Id never consider pursuing someone in a relationship married wandering men give the good ones a bad name.

As an ex-wife to a married man who actively pursued single woman at his gym, bars, social media, I can say that not all single woman respect the â˜sisterhood. Some people, men and woman, are just happy to start relationships with whatever is easily on offer rather than be alone.

Funfact: Women cheat as much as men

So why did you give a married man your number again?

Living alone for many people is more of a forced choice rather than a deliberate one. I didnt choose to live alone, but its also not because of sad circumstance. It just happened to be the way things worked out.

We, We, We. I never knew all single women are exactly the same, with the same thoughts and motivations. Thanks for setting me straight.

I think she needs to change her attitude, not all married men behave in this manner. I dont want to be lumped in with those men anymore than women dont like to be called bad drivers.

On behalf of most married men. Geez, we dont really care. We are very happy where we are. Get over yourself.

Having been on the receiving end of the unsolicited attentions of a young single woman, as a married with kids man (many years ago), I can confirm that your 4points could equally be written from a mans perspective. Id add that a lot of single women see a married man as a challenge & theres no fury like a woman scorned (unless its 2 which Ive also experienced).
