They have not just been âparking up.â They have been paying weekly rent for the whole time they have been there. I am 58 and living full-time in my caravan at a holiday park as a semi-permanent, as are approx 18 other people/couples where I am. The rent we pay is what keeps the camp open over Autumn and Winter. If we werent here the casual/tourist traffic over that period would not be sufficient to pay managers, let alone keep kitchens/showers operating. We are all Police checked, responsible, caring people who are living here for various reasons. It is heartbreaking to see these people being evicted after so long, especially when some of them are very elderly. How on earth can they be expected to find alternative accommodation now? It seems that we Kiwis are fast losing the friendly, caring, compassionate label we were so often given by people visit our country. Yes, tourists are needed but how about taking care of our fellow New Zealanders at the same time.
I no longer have children at school so in many ways this is a non-issue for me now, but there is a lot of truth in what this guy is saying. I also think he is âon the moneyâ when he says more adults in the classroom would be a better use of taxpayers money. A quality teacher aide in every classroom would go a long way to supporting both teachers and students.
It most definitely is our business! Everything Trump does has an affect on the World as a whole. The situation in the US is serious and you are naive if you think it's not. Trump is an egotistical, narcissistic, arrogant man who has openly stated he wants the adoration of Americans and the World. He is the closest thing to a dictator we have seen since Hitler. Watch some documentaries on Hitler, or even movies based on his life. There are so many parallels between Trump and Hitler its not funny. Towards the end of the war Hitler was ranting and raving, making various ridiculous claims about all sorts of things, and still believed he was winning the war. Those of us who are anti-Trump are not following anyone like sheep. We are using those independent minds you mentioned in your post, to see the truth of the situation. Trump is irrational. At times delusional. His world revolves around himself always. I have never been a person to wish I'll towards anyone but I literally hate Donald Trump. He is a dangerous, evil man.
I am also with Kiwiwealth and have been very happy so far but I am not happy with the exorbitant performance fees currently being paid. Problem for me is I was a late-comer to KiwiSaver so at 57 my balance is very low and will be (on the grand scale of things) miniscule when I reach 65. All of which makes me a little hesitant to switch providers.
They are not living âon the cheap.â They are paying a good amount in rent for the use of their site and power. Yes, cheaper than renting a house, but the costs are nowhere near the same. Permanents are subsidising these costs especially in areas where camps are not at all busy other than at Christmas/New Year and Easter. The camp I am in would never have to turn anyone away because I am occupying a site (other than possibly at Xmas in which case they will move me to a less popular site). Oh, and by the way, the manager here had to clean up human faeces and used loo paper this morning, left on the grass by tourists who stayed one night. Permanents respect the camp and create less work than casuals and tourists do.
Sorry Mr Peters but the tweets are Trumps. The man is and always has been, a loose cannon. Not sure why you have decided to take this stance when what you should be doing as acting PM is making it very clear our Government does not support Trumps destructive, arrogant behaviour. The actions of this man now not only affect the US. They affect the entire World and we must not let him believe we are OK with it.
I wonder if the increase in the number of people taking pre or probiotics could have an affect on this bacteria? While these supplements are generally considered beneficial maybe they are actually upsetting the balance and having some affect on the bacteria, making it toxic in some way?
I donâ't think thatâ's what the article is doing at all. Yes, it mentions the practical things dads can do to support breastfeeding, and Iâ'm sure many fathers are already doing that as you say. I think the article goes further than that though. Many fathers donâ't psychologically support breastfeeding for various reasons including lack of knowledge/understanding of human milk production and breastfeeding, an inability to see breasts as anything other than sexual objects, a lack of breastfeeding role models in their life. While the article didnâ't specifically discuss this as an issue it is common sense to expect this to have a negative on a womanâ's breastfeeding experience. Women are more likely to give up breastfeeding if they feel their partner doesnâ't 'œapprove.' Itâ's not about dissecting families. Yes, families are a team but anyone who has ever been in a long term cohabiting relationship knows full well it takes hard work to maintain and keep that 'œteam' running smoothly and positively. Research like this can only help with that in my opinion.
You need to face the reality that some of us are not working through no fault of our own. In my last permanent job, my contract was terminated by my employers because I had an ongoing chronic cough (yes, you read that right!). Since then, at the age of 57, I have been applying for jobs and in most cases attending interviews, but I still have no job. Please stop lumping beneficiaries into one too lazy to work category because its not only 0 thinking, its also extremely unfair and patronising. You better hope you are never one of the unfortunate ones who lose their job due to health issues, redundancy or whatever. Remember, there but for the grace of God go I and if you don't know what that means, look it up.
Have you checked to see if you are eligible for the accommodation supplement? Depending on your income and assets you may qualify for this. A lot of people don't realise this payment is available to everyone who meets the criteria - you don't have to be on a benefit.
Well I for one have absolutely no problem with it. Obama is a genuinely good man who has my respect. I'm more than for my tax dollars to go towards this cost. If Trump ever comes here however (God forbid) that would be a completely different story.
Yes groceries are expensive but that's when you need to prioritise and maybe skip the avocados and honey. There are plenty of other alternatives that are healthy and less expensive.

The sad and concerning thing about this is that we actually have Trump supporters in NZ.
