If I hear ...âas a Mum, I know...❠one more time I will scream. As if it makes somehow makes you more attune to how white shirts should be, or how to stick on a bandaid properly, or caring for your loved ones.

â..for all intent and purpose are Australian citizensâ. No, they absolutely are not!I am a British citizen living in Oz for the past 40+ years, purely out of sheer laziness and convenience. But Australia is home. I am fully aware of the consequences and as such have recently got off my backside to get Australian citizenship (still a process that is a pain in the neck, but something that must be done). You either are or you are not.

If it were the Wallabies dominating, as an Aussie we would be revelling in it. It is not for NZ to lower its standards but for the rest of the world to either catch up or whither and die, which is precicsely whats happening. It is totally the ARUs fault the game is in dire straits in Australia because they have not risen to the challenge.

Honestly. If Kiwis in Australia dont know the consequences of not having Australian citizenship by now, they must be living under a rock. No, seems they want to have their cake and eat it. That aint gonna happen, not under this government at least. And Peters argument regarding income and tax is just a complete herring. Does this mean Australia needs to means test criminals and only deport Kiwis of low income?

Ancestry rules should be scrapped. Migrant nations like NZ and Australia are likely to have far more players eligible to play for home nations than the reverse, especially if grand parents (really?) are included in the criteria. The only criteria that matters should be the passport that you hold (and in the case of dual nationality, a player needs to nominate a nation and stick with it).

Given this region is home to the Coelecanth, I personally think there is a small fissure through to a prehistoric world down there which, due to recent earthquake activity, has just opened up. The sound being heard is something much, much larger squeezing through! Where is Gojira when you need him!

Can you quote your source on global average temperature trends please. Every reputable source Iâ've checked states otherwise including nasa and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration 'œSince 1970, global surface temperature rose at an average rate of about 0.17°C (around 0.3° Fahrenheit) per decade'”more than twice as fast as the 0.07°C per decade increase observed for the entire period of recorded observations (1880-2015)'

What! He doesn't try to run anywhere except into Goulding, who has the defensive position with his feet planted, and deck him this a raised arm! Kickert shouldn't have got involved but neither should the fans and officials. Never mind the the Filipino coach instructed his team during a time out to hit someone and put them on their ar$#

Dont normally have much of an opinion on the Royal Family, but I watched a couple of documentaries on the traumas and struggles of returned service men and women and what the Invictus Games have given them. Moved me to tears. You have done a very, very good thing Harry and with great humility and humanity. Good on you. Now an unashamed fan (even though we should be a republic!)

Played hack amateur league football for years and was on the receiving end of tackles infinitely worse, including a studs up over the ball tackle that snapped my PCL. Also played a bit of Aussie Rules and got smashed from all sides. A lot!.None caused me to flap around like an asphyxiating mullet. Nor the players around me.

I dont think they are suggesting a banning of aerial contests, just one man lifts. One man lifts will effectively kill contests at kick offs as opposition wingers will be too concerned at conceding a penalty or worse should they clatter in to a player who is put into a potentially dangerous and unstable position. It is being used as a tactic to negate the oppositions strengths (and to cover their own poor marking technique)Should just be a simple man on man contest without any assistance.

Well I've played football at amateur and semi professional level. In these leagues, tackles are hard and dirty and agricultural. Yet no one threw themselves to the ground and carried on as if they were shot (let alone do it at the slightest touch). They would get up and square up and carry on. To say it's part of the game is just plain wrong.

so, the previous neighbour built a wooden retaining wall instead of a concrete one, then built a fence on top of it.Given the retaining wall is at a height required to allow land to be levelled, sticking a structure on top was always going to block the light (regardless of the construction method used on the retaining wall). And whats with the brown fence and gate.....is that on the property boundary? The part viewable from below is essentially the structure on top....which was initially approved and always going to be built anyway!

Actually, I think Basketball comes before Rugby.Rugby is on a probably par with hockey. Played by diehards and those with links to the game but doesn't attract an awful lot of players outside of this.

With all due respect, it should be gods own country but is far from it. I spent a while cruising around the Kerala back waters and beaches and it didnt matter where we pulled up or stayed, the place was used as a garbage tip. Broke my heart as it should be beautiful. What struck me most though was that many of the canals were actually built meters higher than the homes surrounding them. It wouldnt take much to breach the canal walls and flood these homes.I feel for the people in Kerala they were lovely. But there are lessons to be learned.

I canâ't explain it either. Even though I was born there, still have a British passport (purely out of laziness/convenience) and have many British family members, I have supported Anyone But England for the last forty years.Probably a symptom of more than a century of sporting rivalries. Its just an antipodean thing and itâ's not personal...Having said that, Iâ'm warming to this England side and might just get on them to go all the way!

ACDC are Scottish/Australian (and Crowded has had 2 Aussies and 1 Kiwii and were formed in Melbourne. The Pav is not Australian or Kiwi...meringue based tortes were around long before either could claim it. Dusty born in Victoria. Cant argue with Russell Crowe but we didnt want him in the first place.Kiwis...trying to lay claim for Australian icons for 100 years. Next youll be saying Jaffas and Flat whites are Kiwi.

People who insist on carrying on as much luggage as possible and then proceeding to hog the overhead storage above your seat.Getting through Passport Control at English airports. Queuing might be in the Brits DNA but it aint in mine. Time to get in to the 21st century. Mumbai airport has about sixty gates!!

Meanwhile at the G, 70k+ turned up on an awful night to watch the Pies take on GWS (a constructed Sydney team that has about 5 paid up members). To say Rugby in Australia is in trouble is an understatement.BTW, 48,000 in a stadium that holds 84,000 between two Sydney teams in a knockout final is nothing to boast about.

His first goal was a pretty good lash, the second fortunate. Had a good header that just went wide, but also missed an open goal. Couple of times tried to take of the whole defence when better and easier options were available then proceeded to cough it up. Has little skill, touch or vision but his fitness has got better (I suppose thats something!). Would be very surprised if he is there come opening game (maybe a sub in the first home game to bring in crowd but thats all). There are hundreds of suburban footballers that are better.

Would dearly love to know what constitutes participants. According to Wiki (and the IRB) there are 848 clubs in Australia. With 83k registered players of which 38k are adults. This means there are almost 100 players per club!141,500 is just fanciful. The ARU never divulge how they actually arrive at these figures.

My personal favourite bread is the Stone Baked Pane di Casa from Coles Supermarket. Especially when it is fresh from the oven. $3.00 a loaf. Crusty and crunch but soft on the inside with a bit density. Great with Italian. Doesnt keep well though.Have tried all sorts of bread from artisan bakeries, larger bakeries, farmers markets etc. and have only found one that comes close (which I havent been able to find again!).

Beg to differ, but I think the vast majority of people know India and Pakistan are in Asia. The term 'Asian' is simply used as a collective noun to group people from East Asia or with oriental features (just as it is used in Britain to refer to people from the subcontinent).

The three other teams are seriously good. Brazil will have a fight but I think their experience at playing boring dour pragmatic football during the group stages will get them through.

Gutted for Japan. But what were they thinking when they took that corner! Seconds to go, and they go looking for an unlikely winner given they hadn't looked like scoring from the air. Left themselves terribly exposed which Belgium exploited brilliantly. That tinny header from Vertonghen gave them hope. From then on they pressed hard but looked out of it up to that point. As they say, as 2 goal lead is the hardest to defend.Good to see the Asian conference teams perform well. Better than the more highly fancied Africans at least.
