It amazes me that Beaudie is blamed for everything in these Stuff comments?! There were a lot of issues with Sundays game over and above Barrett or for that matter Mounga who didnt set the world on fire when he came on either. They Include:. Smiths running before he passes cutting down the 1st 5s space. Ian Fosters obsession with having the 1st 5/8 in close rather than standing back in the face of the rush defence. Lack of on field leadership from Read. Overreliance on Retallick and Whitelock and lack of adequate back-ups. McKenzie at fullback, the guys guts and skill are awesome but he way too small, Ben Smith is the solution there. Ian Fosters aimless kicking plan, Barrett and McKenzie are natural users of the ball not klckers and Aaron and TJ have been poor with the box kick all season. But, most of all, there is the lack of go forward ball and even possession from our forwards, especially noticeable the last 2 games, too many seagulls and not enough hard graft to get good, clean, quick ball at the moment and that is Hansens domainBefore blaming Barrett, ask yourself, what was the game plan on Sunday (either one), why wasnt it changed by Read when clearly not working and why are Foster and Hansen too pig headed to allow it to change?
Apart from the emotive lack of facts spouted in yet another ill informed diatribe against Trump yet again on Stuff Mr Quin ignores the most obvious rebuttal to his long winded and ponderously poor article. The proceedings against Dotcom were commenced years before Trump came into power by the DOJ of Obamas administration. It is highly unlikely either trump or Sessions even know who the man is.As for Quins statements about race, sadly for him Muslims are not a race and the ban again was first placed into law and then applied under Obamas regime. Maybe Quin and Stuff might want to ask decent hard working NZ citizens how they would feel about being flooded with illegal aliens like the Americans are on a daily basis, the opinion of the peasants might surprise them!
How long will these already discredited stats be pulled out to justify this garbage? If this was a fact then every employer in NZ would get rid of male staff and hire females immediately! When will be there be recognition of the damage that has been done by some of the female dominated industries to the social fabric of our lives and yes teachers I am looking at you! Boys are failing miserably in an environment dominated by females working largely to promote female agendas, the public service is another example of an area packed with females that is deeply out of touch with mainstream NZ.Comparing safe, easy sedentary jobs with male dominated, dangerous male roles and crying foul over any perceived discrepancies in income is garbage and the people pushing this know it. Look for the typical unintended consequences of job losses that always happen when politicians interfere in Job markets.
Agree with Cradman below, this is a pretty cynical and negative piece from Robert, Franks for instance is still one of the premier scrummagers in the world so Im not sure where his comments are coming from. Jordie has a lot to learn and wasnt helped by playing out of position by the Canes due to their injury issues but bagging the guy all the time isnt fair either. Give him a chance, he certainly showed promise last year and if Hansen and Co believe in him then he must be doing something right.Congratulations to Owen Franks as well for his 100th, he has been a great AB and I look forward to seeing him go for another few years yet!
I agree with Ras here, the key to winning is keeping the rush defence onside, SA were very unlucky with how poorly this area was refd on Sunday morning. The English were constantly 1-3 metres in front of the hindmost foot with a number of examples where they arrived at the player before the pass was made to them. This was a shame because SA are showing really encouraging signs in the backline this year and to see them cynically and illegally shut down by the English was a blight on Sundays game.Im not convinced that the French ref who was so poor in this area during the Lions tour will be any better this weekend so I hope Hansen and Co have a really good plan B and Kieran can execute it on field if plan A doesnt work.
The odd thing about his comments is that Itoje of England was both penalised and got away with some awful of the ball stuff including late charges with his shoulder, late tackles and other dangerous play on Sunday morning but no comments from formers refs or Pichot on that? The ref had a mixed bag in his first test on Saturday night, thats allowed he is only human and frankly he didnt get much support from his TMO or assistant refs which made it harder for him than it should have been. But subconscious bias, what a joke!
So Tom Franklin gets called into the wider squad and is what 2.02 metres tall and yet Hemopo at 1.93 suddenly thrusts his way into contention? Has he played that well this season, better than any other lock, Im not convinced. And SBW is back, talk about out with the old and in with the older, if he is the solution then we are in real trouble.
Really have you got any proof to back that statement up, the science is very seldom settled and modelling is not science. Especially if you alter the data sets to achieve the result you want.As for sea level rises, what were they for the last year, the last decade, the last century? Within the margin of error they were so small. As we approach what looks like the start of another ice age as the solar maunder minimum appears more likely to happen than global warming more and more people will start to wake up to the fact that the religious scam of climate change is just that, another way for those who consider themselves our betters to exert their control over us.
There are some obvious worries in the Canes this season, front row which was dominant at the start of the game on Saturday night went backwards when replacements came on. Fatialofa appears to already be on the plane, Sam is a genuine hard working lock of some size but our replacements lack bulk and skill. Our back 3 appeared clueless on Saturday, added to that we had a Centre in the reserves and a fullback/2nd five at Centre along with a Captain who performed badly in both his roles on the night. The early season graft and team spirit appears to have disappeared big time which is really disappointing to Canes fans such as myself. I hope some thought is given to recruiting some good, powerful, front rowers and some tall timber at lock for next year, otherwise our forwards will remain the NZ completion easy beats.
Sorry Im with coachmasta on this one, he has size and bulk but just like Jeffrey Tooumaga-Allen he is a somewhat weak and ineffectual scrummager who certainly struggled against Super sides who had good front rows. Like Ofa that may improve in the ABs environment but Im not convinced, his all round ball skills are certainly not up to some of the other props in the country at this point either.
Is that something like the lies and misinformation that Jacinda, Winston and Ian Lees-Galloway have got away with this week? And in fact every week since the most transparent government ever came into being thanks to the help and assistance of New Zealands compliant media?
Oh Fox news, I thought you were going to say Radio New Zealand, TV1 & 3 or others of that ilk in NZ who dont even try and hide their bias towards the COL now.
