I do like the idea of banning plastic bags BUT now super markets are refusing to fill reusable bags if they have not got their logo on them. EG: Went to countdown to see if their products were cheaper the New World didnt see the sign saying will only fill Countdown bags so when we got to the checkout and were told sorry we cant fill those bags you have to buy our bags. We left the trolley still full & walked out wont go back stuff em
Wow just finished reading this story as I was eating some nice pork crackle which I now have to remove from my keyboard. Yeah yeah shouldnt eat food over your keyboard I know lol. I scrolled down to see not 1 negative thumb. The comments were so positive its the kind of story we need more of. Awesome man Awesome
By the way small was me being sarcastic I was the 9th car back in a line of 17 my wife counted. This is why the road toll is climbing extremely bad & unnecessary types of driving
And people ask is someone getting their back pocket filled with $$$$$$$$s of course they are.Why pick on farmers etc when Chinese get it for next to nothing & make MEGA BUCKS when they sell it.
An article the other day made huge sense the title was Phantom Traffic Jams. Told how people texting or braking for NO reason at all slowed traffic down & as say 5 cars behind the person texting or braking did the same by the time 12 cars back slowed down traffic stopped & drivers thought there must be an accident or something similar. We should take a lesson from the Aussies & hammer drivers texting with $250 plus fines & 40 minimum demerit points.
What is it with your type of people blaming truck drivers. trucks cant move over very far as been seen lately as the shoulders of the roads wont support them . I drove Rigs for many years & many Ks, drivers are doing their daily jobs, keeping to a schedule & the road rules. I bet truck drivers check their mirrors tenfold compared to your driving habits. As for the police yeah right how many trips have you done and not seen 1 cop car in a couple of hundred Ks. I have traveled to Taupo & back a few times this year & have never seen 1 cop car a couple of speed camera vans but thats it.
From reading the 1st few comments it shows we dont really care about past history its past history. Like selling an old car you cant go & find it now its a classic and say hey I used to own that car now its worth money I want some sort of compensation. This has been going on far to long & is dividing the country again.
What a shame. ACC should never payout for these stupid things, plus got a mate in Auckland told me they are a real menace on the roads up there as more & more appear thinking they own the road. So here we go again cars that have to be paid for so they can go on the road while these things are not taxed at all. Maybe all e-driven devices should have to be registered, just a thought.
Fully agree. Many times they have cried for more funding from some source or another then gobble it up & use it else where. Think of an old mayor called Dove-Myre Robinson people laughed at him wanting rail etc back in the day. Now all they want to do is leave a name for themselves
Cant believe how far I had to follow a small line of traffic yesterday at a fast speed of 75Ks on a 100kph open road. It was like lets see how many cars we can build up behind us & not a cop in sight. Many cars including mine blew their horns at the blue car when we were able to pass. Wake up POLICE do your jobs instead of drinking coffee
Norway and New Zealand have similar-sized populations of about 5 million really wow our population moved to that total very mysteriously quick. What no one is saying is quite obvious once these EVs take hold then all the great substitutes they keep telling us will be gone. Be no different to now days rego taxes wofs and hello we have a 9 day power cut.Has anyone thought of how they are going to tow lets see oh yeah a caravan, a trailer,a boat never a mention perhaps they are praying that nobody will ask these types of questions.Think of all the unemployment if or when service stations shut down more importantly what will happen to the thieves who like to fuel up and drive away their lives just wont be able to continue lol. Thanks for reading
My son has just been given 2 weeks notice today. He works hard puts other staff to shame so 1 of them has been trying to & succeeded in setting him up & because he has only been there 4 weeks so is under the 90 day clause the boss said to many things going wrong lately your out. Cost him the best part of $2000 to move plus buy a farm bike its unreal out there.
I agree with Boybobby123 NZ dont really care about these people. The million bucks could go to a better use like making HNZ properties fit to be lived in.
Only have to see the photo the other day of the 2 cops riding their bikes side by side holding up traffic in Wellington. Yep I use my car horn more now than ever & when idiots on push bikes start paying some sort of riding fee then I might change my mind on certain things. Far to much money is being wasted on cycle lanes when there are people needing housing. Go figure
Just pray that someone riding them does not hold me up in traffic because I have had enough. Riders whether its on a skateboard, scooter or bicycle really do think they have all the rights in the world WRONG. More & more are riding on the wrong side of the road meaning they are coming towards you not going away & Im waiting for the day when something really bad happens because I have seen some really close calls.
Yeah well from what I hear out there they have no idea about raw milk as yet being consumed by humans as to the M Bovis Virus. They say meat & pasteurized milk is not harmful to humans but will be advising farmers & staff not to take milk home from the cowshed until they have some sort of answer. I used to love my cows milk & cream out of the vat (have to be clever to get cream though lol). Im still waiting to see if they can prove who bought this into the country, then sue them for all its worth.
Government confirms single-use plastic bags will be gone in six months

We all knew this was going to happen sooner or later when Governments handed over state owned enterprises saying its better for the people YEAH right
