I dont know what game he was watching, for when it happened I said he was offside before it went to the tmo. You can tell since he is a good yard in front of the rest of the team.

Im gobsmacked that this is a talking point. Whether or not, Perenara had his hands on the ball or not, a defending player must remain behind his last mans feet. Lawes failed to abide by this rule and rightfully suffered the consequence by being adjudicated offside at the ruck. Its unfortunate for him and England but it doesnt matter if you are defending on your own try-line or at halfway - the same rule always applies. The TMO had no choice but to make the obvious decision. It wasnt marginal at all and the infringement was obvious for the entire viewing audience to see. And for those who see anything other than the obvious, you are simply viewing through a warped lens and offering an opinion based on fiction - not fact.

Its typical of Farrell to make those comments. The Poms âpushedâ the offside boundaries on a number of occasions, but on this occasion it was noticed hence the ruling. You play with fire sooner or later youll get burnt. Their cheating cost them the game.

The referee allowed England to be offside most of the game at ruck time. We had this with French referee during the lions tour simply unable or unwilling to police and penalise even the most blatant of offside infringements.
