Based on performance the Christchurch Mayor would have a significant decrease.
The salaries mentioned do not include the various meeting allowances and other expenses that they receive at the ratepayers cost !!

Look at all the mayors, if youre a Christchurch ratepayer youre paying for Leanne and subsidising all the rest in Canterbury!....... Canterbury development Corporation, Christchurch and Canterbury tourism, the stadium, equal access to assets CCC ratepayers pay for. Its unsustainable and will change. We cannot continue turning Christchurch into a motorway, free daily parking lot for those who pay their residential rates elsewhere and who are our costliest residents,

You know when you train a house puppy to toilet out side ,but sometimes has an accident in side,you sprinkel pepper salt on the DODO then rub its nose in it,to teach it not to do that inside,well it looks like the mayor is doing that to the good people of CHCH,just keeps rubbing our nose in it
So we get a 5.3% increase in rates, less money in our pockets, the mayor gets a 7% pay increase more money in her pockets, Ive not had a wage increase in 3 years.,. It sucks to be a wage earner.... so I wonder , will that position get a 70% pay increase over the next 10years as I understand it;rate payers will have to fork out 53% rates increase over the next 10 years

Why three mayors salaries for Canterbury. Just have a Canterbury council and Mayor who covers the costs of Canterbury. District councils without mayors.....That would make a refreshing change. As for the Hurunui and Ashburton if they want to be part of Canterbury they can pay. Its time for Christchurch to concentrate on Christchurch. Let Canterbury take care of Canterbury. The Christchurch City Council should not be the - give everything away to Canterbury council. Of course if the rest of Canterbury want to keep their mayors thats their choice, just please stop living out of Christchurch ratepayers finances.

Good pay for being a public servant...... must be nice for some.
She should be embarrassed considering her job performance and representation of chch. Because of new ideas the living wage is all she and councillors should get even then we should dock a lot of it due to poor performance and or missing in action.
Since us rorted ratepayers are paying for this, why can we not set her pay rises, we pay, so we should get a say, her performance is pitiful, still I guess we will have to wait until the next election to get rid of.
