We were subjected to a Stats NZ household survey several years ago, it was a total pain. Frankly I would rather pay a fine than ever do it again. That said it would have been far less intrusive if it could have been completed online rather than on the telephone, it went on for around three years overall and they had to speak to everyone in the house every time they called, nightmare.
I once passed an irate lady who had been stopped by the dog handler, the dog was doing its thing whilst she was loudly protesting âI dont want that dogs head in my bag, Ive got food in there!â It was really hard to keep a straight face.
I can understand that, but its still possible for people to give inaccurate information on the telephone, in fact Id argue that one is more likely to in some instances, just to get the thing over with. Either way the data collectors have no way of knowing.
I would email Countdown about that so they can issue a directive to all staff in all stores since that is clearly ridiculous. Our local Countdown accept any bag, barrow or bucket that a customer rolls up with, as they should.
If you can see past the people and just examine the situation then its worth reading for that alone. As the show (and comments here) have said, if there had been no cameras she could have ruined his reputation, career and life.
It's 1 that violence happens to both sexes when out and about but there is a difference to the way it's spoken about when it does. If a man gets attacked walking through a park the commentary tends to lean towards outrage at the attacker, fancy not being able to even walk through a park without being set upon When it happens to a woman the comments often centre on the woman and how maybe she shouldn't have been in that place at that time What on earth was she thinking of walking through a park on her own at that time of night I'm not suggesting it's a conscious thing, it's just how we have been conditioned to think, and it's not helpful.
It's a veritable festival of horrors this week. If I had to use one word to sum up Tyra Banks look in Picture 6 I'd say Processed Everything looks as if it's been through the most extensive manufacturing known to mankind at least twice (and that includes the hair.) l doubt there's a natural fibre amongst the whole shebang and she's probably a fire hazard to boot. It's a crying shame because that woman is a Goddess. As for poor Meredith Rostrum, she's basically been forced to wear a beach cover-up to a posh party. Why anyone would do this is beyond my comprehension but it did get her noticed, so perhaps that's it?!
In the UK you are deemed to be â˜Outraged if you so much as tut, so yeah, saying you are â˜happy is tantamount to wild hysteria in their interpretation.
Agreed, and its all dire but I think the most offensive part for me is that length of dental floss across the chest holding the top part over her breasts. You know its bad when your garment is held together with pure luck and dental floss.
There are loads of regional variations, in the Black Country (in the Midlands) you can find yourself called âBabâ as in âYoull right bab?â and my Mum (who lives in rural Warwickshire) calls everyone âmy duckâ
Theres truth in that, but theres also a lot of people who just dont feel good about themselves in general and equate â˜being thin / ripped (whatever their ideal body shape is) with overall contentment and success in life. Its a fallacy of course, but low self esteem is a horrible thing and reaching for seemingly quick solutions is a human reaction.
That's pretty much my view too. When I'm in the US however, I tip, simply because I know that it's forming part of someone's wages. That said I would much rather they were paid a decent rate to start with and my tip was the cherry on the top.

That or she's trying to smuggle out one of Zendaya's earrings. I can only imagine that Rihanna's stylist was working to the brief of trying to make her client appear as dumpy as possible, or like the Quality Street that no one likes. Given Ri Ri's undeniable gorgeousness this should have been nigh on impossible, however with that horror garment she appears to have pretty much pulled it off. Ri deserves better.
If the Met Ball ever runs with the theme âDomestic Bondageâ then Hayley Atwells frock would be a stand out, until then however its just an awkward mix of pleather and sequins, which sounds both unpleasantly sweaty and scratchy.
True, it used to be the case (might still be the same) in the UK if you take (and pass) your driving test in an automatic then you are only licensed to drive an automatic, consequently most people learn in a manual. I had never driven an automatic until I came to live in NZ.

I do too, and Katy Perrys outfit isnt awful either. Cary Mulligan however has been dealt a bad hand, if the NFL ever decide of a floral strip and she wants to try out, shell already have half the kit.
