We need to set more controls on prospecting by organised religion, and remove the tax exemption, unless it can be proven that cash does not find its way to fund motorbikes or sects in gated communities that dont integrate into society.

KIngi was in conflict as well as she has had roles in appointing senior Police staff. So much for independent. You nearly had a clean 6 weeks Winston, but failed miserably on this.

It should be easy to see which programs are watched online, that data would be the most accurate surely. They need to stop funding duds for so long - if they want to take a chance on an opinions show like that, try it out for just a month first. What on earth value they thought that program would add, you have to wonder.

People being uncomfortable at the prospect of hearing views that dont match their own are no reason to scrap free speech. Stunned to see a journalist saying that is ok here.

No utes will get anywhere though - with the rubble on the roads, the cracks in the road, slumps at bridge approaches, and abandoned vehicles blocking roads. For the same reasons walking will be extremely difficult, wading through winter streams could be fun.GPS wont work when the cell power and towers fail. The heat and smoke from the burning buildings will not be easy to get past.Do you plan to stop to help all the injured/buried on the way?Why does the Council pain such a rosy picture of what reality will be like?

Exactly right, hes one of the best, and contributed in many other ways to the wider community. No doubt the low crime rate he was successful in achieving will be a big factor in their deciding whether to replace him, sadly.

Well meaning but largely a waste of money. The fire extinguishers for example will not be much practical use in these events. The need is for trained people, not amateurs. Traffic control is dangerous work and needs coordination and experience.

Sadly the fourth estate is part of the problem. Almost all keep failing to tell us readers/viewers what they have learned by being present in the political scene when we cant be. For example, why is it only afterwards that we find out how bad Meka was with staff? If the politicians saw that we were being kept informed their conduct might improve and their bosses might take preventative action.Too much analysis, and not enough real hard information.I am very impressed how much Chris Faafoi is getting on with, he is one of their top performers.
