My wife was given 3 mths to live and she had to give up working after 40 odd yrs. We both approached Winz to see if she could get some sort of benefit to help her through the rest of her days that she had left.As the husband I was at the time fully employed but having to take days off work to help my ailing wife. She was refused all help whatsoever from Winz because of the fact I was employed. Although I was beyond the retirement age I wanted to carry on working because of the situation. I dont begrudge anything why Winz refused to help, it was the coldness and attitude that I got from them. To cop it off....... the lady interviewing us didnt even look up when we got up to leave! !!!!

What the hell do you mean by brisket being cheap? ??? I buy brisket every fortnight and every time its always cut into cheap cuts so that the vendor gets the maximum profit from it. Back in the 50s 10 bobs worth of brisket got enough to feed a family of 10. Thats what you call cheap. There are no butcher shops today around the big cities that you can buy bulk brisket. What the supermarkets have cost you a bloody arm and a leg.

My name is fairly uncommon because Ive only heard of 4 others with it in NZ. Recently I was approached by a lovely lady who said that I was the first person shed met with a name like mine also saying that her son has the same name my mouth fell open because Ive actually met the guy years before. So.... whats in a name. ..... heaps! !!!
