Pensioners whos source of income is the pension, should NOT have to pay full rates, they should be heavily reduced. What are councils thinking to do to these poor people, drive them out of their homes?
Earning your own money and being in work even if it's only $50 a week extra is better than being on benefits, in my opinion. You'll get more satisfaction and opportunities.Budgeting down to the last expense is not just something beneficiaries need to do.
If your daughter was anything like me, and her behaviour sounds exactly like me as a teenager - you (mum) will not get through to her. It has to come from an adult she does respect, find that person and ask them to have the chat with her about where she believes her life is going what her game plan is by smoking, wagging acting out etc.If some one can get through to her about the consequences of slacking off now and how it effects your life later on then she may get her life back on track, honestly best of luck. Its a little bit harder to catch up after slacking off, but not impossible!
Overall just very depressing. We are causing extinction of species at ever increasing rates, we should be prioritising full ecosystem protection and recovery.
Best thin you can do is work out your yearly average add a bit extra for power and pay by AP weekly or on the day of your pay, youll build a surplus for winter to help pay for those higher bills, but seriously som people need to start being a bit more power conscious, turn appliances off at the wall, use LEDs and turn the line thats off if not needed, have shorter showers, some people are so wasteful and they dont even realise it!
The evidence is clear that a child needs a father who wants and loves them. This is the best way to raise a child to become a law-abiding contributing member of society.Unfortunately plenty of men/boys walk out of their responsibilities leaving mothers to itFix that issue and you might fix the problem
Rats aside, you should be baiting for them, tenant or homeowner. But damp, cold, insect infested housing should fall under a building warrant of fitness for habitation. If you rent a vehicle would never be anything other than legal, it goes through checks every time it is rented.Should be the same for a house. End of. Housing has become a commodity now, and their should be laws, standards and rules to follow. You can negatively gear your investment but 9 times out of 10 as the owner you are going to be coming out ahead than the tenant.Tenants also need to have responsibility whilst living in someone home and need to be held accountable if they also do not follow conditions.
Its one child for me, that is enough. Love her to bits, I can afford to give her what she needs and some of what she wants. Besides I look forward to her becoming an adult and flying the nest and I wouldnt want to start the clock all over again!
Property ownership will divide society. The haves and the have nots. It will only get worse as populations across the globe increase and land becomes scarcer. People in âcoffinâ houses in Hong Kong, slums in Manila, wont be too far off in our future in NZ the way we are going.
With gas hot water and a wood burner, I have no idea now their power bill can be this high?! That is ridiculous, their appliances including the heat pump simply must have efficiency issues there can be no other explanation.
I personally would like to see natural ingredients with or without fluoride option in these new toothpastesI like the idea of no nasty chemicals with natural ingredients but I would like the option with or without fluoride
Im with Powershop, have been for 6 years, I pay $19 a week every week on AP, Im over $200 in credit, with their prepay power packs with discounts off power you buy in advance up to 6 my mths ahead with 10% off, plus their monthly and weekly power specials and a handy app that puts you in control with by the hour power usage they are hands down the best
I still want to know if MP salaries are increase are ex MPs salaries also increased âfor lifeâ seems to me that would be the ticket, to be an MP and cream it for the rest of your life?
The supply of phosphate is finite, might as well find ETHICAL alternatives now, how can we possibly ignore this situation any longer? Stop stealing their phosphate!
They are not that bad, they could do with more regular cleaning, the water on the floor comes from the sink, the water comes out too strong and when you put your hands under it splashes every where, fix that youll fix half the problem.Been in far worse loos in NZ
Ive lost count of the parties my 7yo girls been invited to, some have been simply fun and other ms simply full on.My daughter has had her 5th, and will have her 10th, 13th, 16th, 18th and 21st, after that its on her! Well celebrate the milestones appropriately and have small family gatherings or sleepovers in between, we are not the go overboard out do the Jones type, I see parents trying to out do each other with themes and entertainment its crazy!
We are stealing phosphate from Western Saharan people to spread on our land to grow more and more grass, polluting our countries water ways to the point where our native fish are going extinct to make more and more milk from farms where animals are treated as commodities and mothers and babies are cruelly separated in the so called interest of âbest practiceâ - more like âbetter profitsâ and then we send all this âwonderfulâ product overseas..... so Fonterra can turn a profit at the expense of our land, our environment our farmers, ourselves - utter lunacy
Some of my fondest childhood memories involve jumping off wharves and pylons around Waiheke, especially so after the ferries had just left and the wake would push you to shore, that was super fun, smiling and waving at all the tourists coming and going who would take photos at all the children lined up on the poles and rails ready to jump in unison. Those summers were the best! Now you cant even swim down at the wharves - so sad I hope Devonport manages to keep wharf jumping alive.
I still think its weird we defecate and urinate on perfectly clean healthy fresh drinking quality water. Door pushed closed at home, never locked. Locked in public places. I really dislike the stall style bathroom in my workplace. Not private at all.
Who is pricing these contracts, they are obviously not doing their jobs properly?! Budgets falling well short of actual costings and next thing its liquidation time. Doesnt take a genius to know last years budget for building isnt going to be enough to cover this years building costs. When will people wake up?!

I agree with zero percent deposit mortgages, it would benefit a lot of people as it's the main barrier to achieving home ownership.High living costs means it is next to impossible to save 100k in time for the current average house price.
What about making employees shareholders in the companies they work for, so they are directly invested in the company, they care about the performance, will be driven to work though the sharing of it profits. With annual, biannual or quarterly dividends peoples incomes will lift. Obviously needs lots of details worked out, but with companies like banks, large retailers, wholesalers, etc who make millions if not billions in profits, sharing a percentage of the profits more equally with the people who do the âworkâ will help create a bit more equality? Stop the owners, ceos, directors getting such a large slice of the pie, reward the workers. Im sure there is a millions holes to pick in my idea though for why the owners need to take home ALL the profits....
Never had a power bill over $100 in over 6 years. Family of two adults and one child. I turn everything off at the wall thats not in constant use. I turn off the hot water cylinder only if were away from home for more than a week. Wifi, fridge and water pump stay on 24/7. Water pump off when were away for the weekend. No heat pump, have a fire, standard oven, minimal LED lights, just vigilant in turning off things that are not in use.
I recently purchased a good condition second hand double bed for my 6 year old.She loves it and feels very grown up. It looks nicer in her room rather than bunk beds.

When a $16k payrise only gives you $50 a week extra in hand after credits reduced
Earning your own money and being in work even if it's only $50 a week extra is better than being on benefits, in my opinion. You'll get more satisfaction and opportunities.Budgeting down to the last expense is not just something beneficiaries need to do.
