Some pretty fancy footwork going on there Paula. Of course you cant find it thats the whole issue - its been hidden so it cant be found. The question is who hid it
What a shame that NZ business confidence spirals down when there is upwardpressure on low/middle class wages. Are our business leaders only happy when they are shafting their workers?
Rugby needs Michael Cheika. He is awesome, adds colour and dynamism to an otherwise very careful PC environment of after match interviews. Ands he's funny as. Rants and raves for twenty minutes then finishes by saying I'll just keep it to myself
Id be interested to know if thats actually 1 from a Betty point of view. Some wealthy people I know brag about not paying tax because they are able to use assets like a farm and commercial property and a family trust that enables them to to claim back pretty much all their tax, including paye and gst.
Mate you wanna come and live in Central Otago - I laugh when Aucklanders kicked up about the regional levy then cried when it just got added on to the pump price down here because theres actually competition up there
No doubt that having to pay a a wage that allows people to pay their rent and buy food will further shatter the confidence of our business community - poor wee mites
To the Dunedin mayor who listed the services I apparently get from Waitaki District Council. I pay a private contractor to collect my rubbish, empty my septic tank and I had to pay a fee to join the community owned water supply. then i read that the same council is considering building a new office block because they can no longer all fit safely in the offices that used to be spacious. Rising rates are driven by more and more office staff who are doing less and less actual core tasks. PAs typing up consultants reports for engineers to read so they can make recommendations to other engineers so they can have a meeting
I think what players and spectators want is consistency. Referees have not called the offside around breakdowns for a long time then suddenly they do - thats inconsistent and it is frustrating. The ABs have made an art form of playing to the limits of the law and King Richie was the best in the world at it. Its what gives us the edge is to find that line and play to it.Id like to see the offside lines refereed more vigorously ALL game not just at key moments. It would make the game more free flowing and the consistency would mean players knew what was expected all game.
Youre not serious are you. National did a good job?? Read some of the comments above. Nat introduced over 20 new taxes, ran down the countries road, health, education, police and border security and ignored a housing crisis while running up a massive deficit and debt. so now we have rotting hospitals, striking workers, overflowing prison
Pretty much Every comment I've heard from Steve Hansen down is that it shouldn't have been a card and the French player should not have been sent so not sure what you are on about.
so NZ1st has disagreed with 3 pieces of legislation proposed by Labour in almost 12 months of government. Thats one every four months.Oh wow wee. This is a media beat up - just like the Clare Curran scandalOf course there is differences of opinion and of course there will be people who fall by way. But get real.people look at the actual realities and think for yourself. Much of the media is big corporate owned and they dont like centre/left policy cos it mite cut a few million off their multi million dollar profit margins
And Ill take it too but u make the point. They were often offside so surely all theyre doing is playing to the refs interpretation of the law then partway thru the game the ref changes his interpretation. Its that inconsistency that irks
And how when in govt it doesnt matter but once in opposition they become bastions of morality. You are not seriously suggesting National did things that didnt stink of conflicts of interest. Selling of off farmland to US millionaires who got citizenship but still dont live here, straight thru visa processing for Chinese business people, selling off state owned assets. I see your point about rose tinted glasses alright
Yep fully agree. If youveuledcanybodyvwho knew anybody youd be struggling to find anybody. Mr Bishopnis scraping the barrel to score points here. No doubt he has a QC in mind to take over the inquiry at a couple of squillion an hour
Wah wah wah - can we get over it. Its like your still playing a ten year old record. It sounded good the first season but for goodness sake. Thats how conference systems work
3000 written questions from National. Thats 0ver 3 a day since Jones was appointed. Thats not the opposition holding the government to account - thats petty politics that is wasting tax-payer money

Surprise surprise who oils have thought that might happen
As pricing changes, AA warns price spreading will be 'fatal' for regional fuel tax
Will do - can you get Aucklands to stop moaning when things go the other way please. Eg traffic congestion and house prices. Cheers for that
Pledging no new taxes is either meaningless, unworkable or irresponsible

Marc Hinton: Verdict looks clear-cut in the great Mo'unga-Barrett No 10 debate
No issues with Barrett at 10. Just cant understand why the McKenxie experiment continues when you have a genuine classy specialist 10 in Mounga.
Governments attacks on private firms is troubling

Pay rises coming for workers, as minimum wage nips at heels of living wage

Aus hasnt had a decent coach since they shafted Robbie Deans
They'll drink to that: Heff's Hotel set to celebrate its last weekend as a South Dunedin watering hole
His comments indicate pretty clearly the reason for his problems.
All Blacks star Rieko Ioane's mega-contract negotiations continue ahead of Bledisloe Cup
