So again we have an opinion piece that focuses on the minority, the âsome people❠who do not like the use of the term Pakeha due to the fact they are racist. Well here are the thoughts of the âmost peopleâ. I dont use the term to describe me because it does not represent me, much as the term âEuropean❠does not represent me. In fact Ive actually been using the term Tangata Whenua for some time. I feel it fairly represents my identity and my link to NZ. I was born here, so I am of this land. Interesting thought about identity and political correctness. A person can choose the pronoun they wish people to use to describe them, why is this any different? Shouldnt we be respectful of peoples wishes?

The knock on with a clear line was devastating but I thought the biggest mistake was taking the shot in the 69th minute. A confident ABs side would have drilled that into the corner and backed themselves for the try. We will benefit from this loss, I guarantee we will look back on this game and say, this was the turning point that lead us to wining our third World Cup.

The problem with identity politics is the need to deal in absolutes. A persons identity whether it is assumed or bestowed is complex. To say that âmen at the top❠act in a âmale way❠is so general and frankly lazy. But it is an absolute that feminism needs. I wish we could take the time to recognise the complexity of the individual instead of labelling all people based on the actions of the few.

I love how they roll out former referees who share a view that the player was onside, as if this in some way marginalises the decision of the a current referee who was in charge of making a decision in real time, with real implications.

Did you not read the story? The fact is he is not entitled based on his set of circumstances, at the time of his injury he was not paying levies and as such is not covered by ACC for loss of earnings. It really helps if you read the article before commenting.

Unfortunately the poor showing by the Tongans was more down to a lack of depth and general fitness. Tonga have a couple of quality players across the team but if one is injured they just have the depth to cover them, hence the reason why we had players playing with injuries. Fitness was another issue, Id be pretty disappointed if I was a Tongan fan, some players looked as if they had not prepared themselves for the game.

This end of year tour was the start of the World Cup preparation. The Lions tour whilst an important series was not the time to try new game plans. Both the English and the Irish test matches saw a specific game plan designed to counter the rushing defence. In both tests this game plan worked - we out played both teams in the second half. However weve learnt that we cant give a healthy point start with this game plan, or we need to do too much in the second half. So the ABs have somethings to work on.

Yeah, Im pretty confident. I thought we looked tired but still showed we can maintain a team game plan. I think we will see the back of a couple of players (SBW, Squire) and others will move from the starting line up to the bench (McKenzie, Franks) Weve got space to grow, I think teams like Ireland have shown their hand.

I have to agree, I thought the Leather Special was terrible. I persevered for 20mins and had to call it. Her movies are mildly funny but again Ive reached saturation point.Dave Chapelle received $60 million thats pretty good for someone that hasnt had a presence in over 10 years.
