Something like this would have been ideal/awesome at Shelly bay without the massive increase in traffic etc. Just needed a bit of vision. Instead we get a gated community for the rich and retired with infrastructure paid for by the ratepayers.
Its disgraceful that it was allowed to fall into this state and then be demolished. One of the few genuine historic buildings in NZ. We need a national trust here like the UK to maintain properties like this. The owner should be ashamed.
