There is no real choice. I had to search really hard for a second hand manual for my son to learn it and it ended up an old European one. Europe is still predominantly manual so if you intend to travel it's best to know how to drive one surely?

Sorry but this is not news! Everyone knows that in the tourist areas of most Cities the prices are high. There are plenty of lovely, cheaper places off the beaten path so go there!
Do people honestly think that the Agency haven't got anything better to do than waste time on things nobody wants? It starts somewhere - and it's usually either because the public want something that usually noone else does or the crash rate or congestion is so bad something has to be done!! But as said earlier if they don't want it - great - move on!
Im sure Aucklanders would love to drive SH1 at 100kph but doubt that happens so pedestrians are probably quite safe - more at risk of asphyxiation by fumes!And SH3 in Taranaki is not a motorway - facts Stuff!
Does this country realise that there is a shortage of skilled workers? If you dont pay them well in local government then they will just leave and go and work for a consultant - then local governments will have to pay outside consultants for their expertise and ratepayers end up paying even more? How is that sensible eh? Pay skilled, qualified workers what they are worth or lose them!
