Just returned from a month in the UK. Manual is still king over there, which is surprising as you spend a lot of time in slow moving stop / start traffic where an auto seems to make far more sense and is an easier driving experience in that situation.
I have just traded my Audi A4 in for a new Skoda Octavia VRS. Test drove an new A4 also and the Skoda was head and shoulders above the Audi in terms of features, the drive, and value for money. The VRS is about $30k cheaper than the equivalent base model Audi A4 Avant by the time you add the basic features you expect on a $85k car.Only a mug would pay another $30k just for some rings attached to the car.
The ABs won the series fair and square and I dont believe the refereeing blunders would have changed the results, but you have to feel a bit sorry for the French as they were on the end of a few horrendous decisions. Had the shoe been on the other foot Im sure Hansons attitude would have been completely different.
Im not a huge fan of BB at 10, but I think hes probably the best we have in that position at the moment. RM needs to take his game up a level to consistently be in the same class as Barrett. What we really need however is a decent goal kicker. BB cannot be relied upon when it comes to knock out world cup games. I think leave BB at 10 but McKenzie (or RM) need to be on instant standby on the bench to pick up the kicking duties when BB is having one of his shockers. We know from experience that when BB is having an off night he doesnt get any better. I cant see the point in persisting with him and thinking that he will suddenly come right mid game.
