My fear is now people will start thinking $2.20 is the new cheap so it becomes normal for prices to be around $2.20 - $2.30 because the gas companies think we are fine with it.

If Wellington is now $2.20/litre, then big oil has decided to try and beat off the pending competition from Waitomo. You mustve missed the part in the article that says the rapid decrease by .28c in such a short space of time begs the question, WHY DID THEY RISE SO HIGH IN THE FIRST PLACE?

At least our nurses and teachers are getting a well deserved pay increase after 9 years. They are doing something but its easier to complain.

Question: Why do these articles NEVER mention the DIESEL PRICES ??

see your point but I assume a vast majority of boat users dont have a permanent mouring and their boats get to the water via a road and technically speaking the added wieght contributes to road wear
