Everything in the world besides whats listed here is therefore fine: drugs, alcohol, firearms, dismembered limbs, pets, poisonous spiders et al...
Another example of a one size fits all approach. Not eating at your desk might be fine if you have a lunch room to eat at, but for smaller organisations with an office on a floor that only has a kitchenette as a common area, the alternative would be sitting in the lobby by the lifts, which I am sure would not be seen as being professional, or necessarily accepted by other tenant organisations.
All electronic devices and all paper should also be banned

So sex toys, blow up dolls and whips/chains are fine then...Cool!
Yup. Used to work for a Govt Dept (yes, actually work - gasp) and while they had lunch rooms I always ate at my desk. Lunch room too noisy. Lunch room too many inappropriate conversations of all stripes. Lunch room full of people so full of themselves (same in private enterpise too... probably more so). Eating at my desk was quiet. Restful. And popped the rubbish in the bin afterwards. Clean desk of minor crumbs etc. and then back to work. In fact, most of my team did exactly the same. Musta been something in the water I suppose.
What about tablets and ultrabooks because they are mobile devices like smartphones!Im surprised they are allowed on desks because of all the internet browsing and social media updates we can do on them!
