Good on Tupou for making it to test rugby - but yet another foreigner â˜purchased by ARU to try to fix their problems. He has only been in Australia for 3 years. ARU need to go to the roots of domestic rugby to fix their systemic problems. At this rate the whole team to end up being NZ and Pacific Island based. Lets see â˜Tongan Thor going a full 80mins against an in-form professional test scrummager. He wont have the fitness for it.
Good player. He will be in their front row for many years to come.
Well done to the big man, good to see him fulfilling his promise.
It will be interesting when he goes up against KT
Check places of birth for All Blacks. I think you will find over the years out of 1033 All Blacks only 32 bornoutside NZ
Or, put more factually, the Tongan and Samoan teams have an almost complete representation of Kiwis in their side.Feel free to go and read the facts, particularly birth places.
please tell me which Pacific players you speak of. I can count Waisake Naholo being the only one currently.
Big Karl will teach Tupou how to scrum
Bertron_Ales obviously you cannot count. Where do you think Shannon Frizell was born?
Missed just as many tackles as he made on the weekend. #fakenews
Thanks for the laugh ha ha
Sekope Kepu is far better than Taniela Tupou. Kepu is the only forward in the team who could even make the All Blacks bench.
Kepu is better than Tupou
Big Karl deserves to win breakout player of the year
In place of Faumuina and Neemia Tialata
Dont know about Kepu but this guy was only a teenager when he left NZ. That is why he could not get a contract. Did not get one straight away when he got to AUs either. Credit where it is due - he is impressive for a 22 year old.
I think he must be thanking his lucky stars he didnt play in either Bledisloe. I think KT might have dished out a dose of reality.
Amazing how we get all these comments coming out of Australia rugby, wasnt it only a couple of weeks ago they were talking up Bernard Foley next we look and he is in the reserves.Should be like Karl T head down, bum up and very few words just gets on and does his job.See the crowd at the test and then the next day in the League the stadium was pretty full.Auspices dont seem to support their national team too much do they!
Oooooh yeah. Another chance for KT to wring his neck as he did when the Chiefs played the Reds.
Hes on the bench because he cant carry his 135kgs for 80 minutes at test level. Being able to pull off a couple of good scrums when coming on off the bench is no comparison. Cheika knows this.
