Can a woman write an article without a feminist agenda woven in? Its getting tedious.
I gave up watching after 7 years because even the audition dishes were beyond the average home cook. But as far as a female hosting because its 2018, oh please, why do we have to make it a male versus female thing again? Most of the winners are probably female??? I like the hosts and dont care for a change for change sake.
You need to relax pearl. Its probably the most successful masterchief in the world. The judges are friendly and helpful, and it would be illegal to fire one of them for being male. Thats not equality
I like Australian Masterchef. Its the only cooking and reality tv show that I actually watch. I always enjoy the sense of camaraderie that develops between the contestants despite the fact theyre competing with each other to be crowned champion. The three judges, Gary Meghan, Matt Preston and George Calombaris are excellent and the special guest judges they bring in are always good.On a side note, you mentioned the incident in the A-League Grand Final two years ago, where Calombaris shoved a young man in the crowd and was subsequently charged with assault. What youre conveniently forgetting is that this young man made insensitive comments about Calombaris family, while being goaded to by the people around him. Sure, Calombaris shouldve just ignored this idiot and walked away but can you really blame him for wanting to defend his familys honour? Of course he copped the blame because hes a celebrity chef and supposed role model for the younger generation, while the idiot in the crowd insulting his family got no punishment.
only if shes the best person for the job, not just because she is female... this is coming from a female too.
The hosts are great. Leave it be.
The personalities of the judges are what makes the show watchable. Its barely that with all the sob stories and chatter chatter chatter. Wmbut when its actually down to the cooking, particularly the pressure test, its actually fine.
The thing I despise about this line of thinking is that its even more discriminatory than the status quo.Youve literally just argued that someone should be fired solely because they have white skin. That is disgusting. While white privilege is definitely a thing, thats not my fault - why should any skills I have be dismissed because of it?
There is diversity among the judges. An Aussie, am impeccably dressed Englishman, and an Aussie of Greek descent. Is that not enough? You cant tick all of the boxes all of the time. Plus these guys are good at their job! Great dynamic between them!
If you are such a good cook and want woman hosting the show then start your own show, instead of putting other cooks down. Success and jealousy are two very different things.
its a brilliant show and has been consistently over the years. the judges are awesome ... why oh why does the person who wrote this article have to find fault with the fact they are all male??? most of us im sure look at them as quality food judges and great on tv not always looking to see and judge them on the basis of being male or female. give it a break and njoy it for what it is.
Get over it. Nothing at all wrong with the presenters. We all have our off days and I think this might be one of yours.
Nothing wrong with the hosts already on the show...they are awesome and all inclusive of all cultures present on the show. The contestants all clearly love the hosts and what they can learn from them by being in the MC kitchen. If any new hosts do join in time the right person to fill the role shoukd be based on best person and fit for the job. It is great seeing the various cultures represented and I enjoy viewing what dishes they create. Only wish I could taste test too.
No Hoda made a mistake, she was the better cook but she made a bad choice, she should have stuck to her traditional cooking this late in the competition, was sad to see her go , over a silly choice.
Indeed, Im over it too.
Most of the past winners have been female...um so how did they relate to the judges?
Well obviously... Baffled as to why you bothered commenting
Yeah but baking a cake then turning it into paste was a bit underwhelming also.
Beats a lot of other programs by a mile. And inspires people with their own cooking. Is that so bad?
I have no interest in the accusations against George, which are not relevant to the programme. I think the 3 hosts work well together, like the 3 hosts of Top Gear did. Im a woman, and not concerned about there being no women hosts. I love this season because of the multicultural contestants- it makes for exciting and interesting food. Keep it up
