Does this video prove cats are living in the ruins of Christ Church Cathedral?

Theres something nice about a country where a stray cat can make the headlines....:-)

Thanks for some light entertainment news on the Cathedral for a change! We now have Cath the resident cat to consider in the rebuild. Make sure the design allows for a comfy spot for Cath - including a cat flap! Also might as well build in an aviary for the pigeons and a roost for the falcons overlooking the aviary! LOL

Well after cats and rats will come elephants. And sure as youre born, dont you forget my unicorn.

I suppose I could say that it is good to see that some use is being made of the vacant cathedral.

Nature will always take over

Well duh. Its a cat-hedral.

Bowl the bloody thing! It will be cheaper to build a modern, practical multi-use building than to restore.

Gods little creatures; how apt.

Why, its just minding its own business

I saw a native falcon chasing a pigeon which it eventually knocked to the ground. The pigeon cowered up against the western fence with the falcon sitting on the fence above it. After about 20 minutes the pigeon took off and flew through a broken window on the corner of a of a building and out the other side with the falcon in hot pursuit. Apparently a couple of falcons are frequent visitors to Hagley Park.

I know that cat ! Saw it last on my broomstick..

Must be the mysterious black panther returning to Canterbury from all those years ago..

Yes there is a black cat with kittens living there. I have photos.

It would be good if everybody who ate McDonalds had to walk 20 minutes before they could purchase greasies.

And some green alligators and long necked geese...Cant get the bloody song out of my head now! :-)

Well at least the Cathedral is providing shelter for a few stray animals. Sounds like its being reclaimed by nature. Leave it be, its days as a cathedral other than a ruin are over.

yeah. Need to keep a healthy rat and pigeon population, eh.

I think a rat meal would be a daily occurence for a cat living in the cathedral

Love the diagrams and the tone of the article ... Now I think we should find a name for the Cathedral Cat.Bishop, Limbo, Catastrophe, Debacle, (but that might be better for a dog, so possibly Fiasco ...)

Terry, it is meant as a light-hearted story. Wheres your sense of humour?
