Nathan Lyon 'wasted' best test delivery on perennial Black Caps No 11 Chris Martin

Horrible man Nathan Lyon....

How blessed are the Black Caps to have Trent Boult coming in at number 11 with a very tidy batting average of 16.02. He has contributed to many useful last wicket stands to go off course with his outstanding bowling average of 27.84. Yes Trent has a rather questionable batting technique but at least he has a crack.

Also his ability to tame the teams sniper by inherently turning down any run when not on strike.

Sorry Mate, you wouldnt have found that gap if it was top order. u wasted urself bro.

um really....a top 8 batsmen wouldnt have had such a massive gap between bat and pad so would have been a pretty regulation front forward defensive shot, nothing special about that ball at all didnt move in the air and spun off the deck

Gotta love the avant garde eyes closed technique developed and mastered by the number 1 number 11.

Sachin Tendulkar is missing from that Poll. I want to get him out

what kind of poll is that? couldve at least put the top 4 batsman of all time on it

Any ball bowled to Chris Martin looks like a good ball. It must have been hard for Lyon to contain his excitement if the best ball of his career is to NZs best ever tail ender

Fantastic comment hahaha

Offence taken, thanks Nathan.

El Boulto basically won us two tests with the bat, the win against aussie in 2011 and the win against England this year. He scores less runs, we lose both games.

don bradman

It wouldnt have bowled any decent batsman.

For ever a cheat in Adelade, a lucky incumbent. Wouldnt have got a look in in the Warne/May/Magill era. Average dude, right place/right time/poor example.

jokes on the aussie fool - fancy not getting martin out with his best ball - i would hate to see what happened to his worst deliveries

You know him personally then....

Exactly

Chris Would have liked a pace bowler to bowl at him not a slow spinner

The guy has over 300 test wickets and that one stands out to him, why try belittle how he feels about it? It is the perfect off spinners delivery, brought the batsman forward and got him pushing further than he had planned, spun between bat and pad to hit the top of middle and off. Sorry it wasnt up to your standards.
