Why not take them seriously and do the appropriate caring health and safety thing? Stretcher them off immediately to spend at least a week in bed in an expensive private hospital under observation. Then force them to stand them down for the rest of the season so that they can recover properly from their injuries. After that, just sit back and see how long their teams and fans can cope without their star players. The reaction will be swift and strong. Problem solved.

These types of actions just brings the beautiful game into disrepute.Should be yellow carded for this type of action.It is FRAUDULENT behaviour and so the penalty should match the misdemeanour.

It has been a blight on the game for decades. Thankfully higher definition cameras have shown just how pathetic some of these players are. Ive always found the Italians, Spaniards and Latin American nations the worst for diving theatrics.Interesting how so many of the players in this World Cup have many tattoos yet their threshold for pain seems so very low on the field! Lets hope the final is not blighted by diving at all.

I am not really a big football fan but l have watched some of or parts of the WC games but l really cant be bothered watching when we see the ridiculous antics of these grossly overpaid players. I saw one player for instance receive a friendly pat on his shoulder at the end of a game and he (obviously pretended) to fall over and roll around clutching his shoulder my other gripe is the ridicilous antics players get up to when they score a goal a little celebration as in rugby is ok but running and sliding around is just nonsense it is time FIFA stepped in and put a stop to all these theatrics which are making a joke of the game world wide.

simple solution. if they get injured, they are off for the rest of the game and the following.

can the ref give the player a red card or something if they pull a massive hollywood like Neymar did?if he was that injured then the ref should have insisted he get stretchered off and had to miss the rest of the game

The best thing about the England v. Croatia game was the ref.He ignored so many instances of blatant diving and players trying to draw a blow from the whistle.Football needs more refs like that. Refs that have the attitude of are you being serious? Get up! Play on!

Love the Mexican response. Perhaps being made a laughing stock will help Neymar stop this nonsense.

Being the most expensive player, Neymar should be ashamed of himself for faking injuries. Hes lucky not to be seriously targeted by his opponents. Punishment by a first yellow card followed by second yellow and a red if problem persist. Such theatrics is not FAIR PLAY, as dictated by FIFA.

Youre right, its blatant cheating. It should at minimum be a professional foul.

Anyone who feigns an injury like that needs to be removed from the game for 15 minutes for medical assessment, that will stop these Hollywood antics.

Its deplorable and a blight on the game. There should be a sin bin type card introduced for excessive acting. 15minutes on the sideline would wipe it out immediately. Neymar spends too much time looking for a foul rather than trying to score. Really glad Brazil got knocked out!

I dont think it should be referred to as âthe beautiful gameâ when players behave like this. Or when petulant players abuse the referees. Great game otherwise
