You seem to misunderstand the idea of choking. To choke is to freeze or lose in a situation where you are expected to win. The great thing about this England team is that theyre giving us HOPE not expectation. While there is still massive gaps in the team, they are playing positively, and look like a TEAM who play for each other not a collection of individuals. Refreshing after some of the previous England teams. Even if we do go out in the round of 16 - which is entirely possible - the performance of this team is still a positive for me compared to the last few major tournaments. At least we can say we had a go.

England will have much sterner tests to come, but you can only beat whats put in front of you. Gareth has established a system first and picked players to fit in to that system, which in the past hasnt always been the case. Despite the narrative there is little expectation from the English public and press for this team to win the WC. Fans just want to see England play with without fear and that seems to be happening so far.

Colombia put in the performance of the WC so far against Poland. I wouldnt call them easy opponents.
Game management. One yellow card in the game, no injuries, 35-deg heat in the stadium, squad got a run out. Taking it easy in the 2nd dig was smart.
Pull your head in, England won the U17 and U20 last year, lets hope its a third win this year and Id rather see rewinds of 1966 than the milking and dining out of the NZ class of 82 ?.
Only down side was our poor showing in second half, why we stopped attacking is beyond me... great going forward still a bit dodgy at the back

Sterling looks good at Man City due to the insane talent around him .. his finishing is poor as his positional play, but he gets himself out of trouble thanks to having blistering pace off the mark.
