England should have had 4-5 in the opening 20 minutes. Poor finishing! 5. There needs to be less teams, not more, at World Cups. Sick of the negative tactics from the smaller nations who just defend with 10 men, foul endlessly and fake injuries requiring physio help in order to wind down the clock

Any side in the top 50 can beat each other on their dayThis is a sport in which South Korea, Turkey, Sweden, Bulgaria, Croatia and all sorts of lowly-ranked sides have made the semi-finals over the years, and all sorts of big teams (France, Holland, Italy, England) havent even qualified for tournaments. Plus it isnt unheard of for the reigning champions to go home after the first round (France in 2002; Italy in 2010)
Nobody is over-hyping this England team, not even the worst of the English media. You need to update your stereotypes.
I thought they did pretty well considering their inexperienced team, the lenient ref and Tunisia having a rest at every opportunity. Finishing remains an issue, they will need more than Kane to find the net if they are going to progress past the group. 3 points in the bank though and loads of positives, I hope they can go on a run, suns shining in England and it could be a good few weeks.
Tunisia were poor, and England deserved to win because they were clearly better. They will have all kinds of limitations against better sides, but should make the QFs. Most of the favourites have failed to win, so England will be happy enough.

There are NO poor teams at the Football World Cup. All of them have had to qualify through group stages and there are some notable exceptions like Italy and the Netherlands who couldnt even manage that.Its not the Rugby World Cup, where they struggle to get 16 decent teams.
