Have zero interest in soccer and wont watch a game BUT having said that there is no way anyone could read these headlines and not smile and think .. naw, thats awesome, good on you Mexico. Congratulations. Something pretty special thinking an entire nation is so happy they can make the earth move.

Mexico are ranked 15th in the world by FIFA; ahead of more than half of the teams at the World Cup This isnt the worlds biggest upset

no you wouldnt have heard bout that I was being cheeky because there was no noise due to it being a empty stadium unlike the week before when the warriors played manly

Nicely put CrikeyDik, sport is pretty special like that

artificial earthquake between quotation marks refers here to beating Germany. Literary freedom together with a massive upset in soccer.

Ive always wondered what the Mexican public think of the national teams efforts at the World Cup when you consider the 127 million population and football is a religion. 2 good results in 1970 and 1986 were at home. So is this result really a shock or a top football nation finally playing to their potential????

Dont remember hearing about that one, but I do remember the AC/DC concert in Auckland was picked up on seismographs.

same thing happened at ami stadium when the crusaders took on the French

An artificial quake was registered...by the agency that monitors earthquakes... during the nations match with Germany...It was possibly caused by massive jumps during the goal from the Mexico national soccer team, This is not a metaphor.

Did they check the incident at the other end which lead to a counter attack, looks like it should have been called back?

Really stuff? You should be pretty knowledgeable about earthquakes by now.Seismographs pick up things that arent earthquakes all the time. Its impressive that fan reactions were picked up, but that is nothing like causing a so-called artificial earthquake.
