Just another MP whose hypocrisy is highlighted by not in my backyard syndromeAmy Adams was supportive of the cycle trail at Maungamanu, where it was rail roaded through emergency legislation therefore bypassing resource consent and the ability to submit against it.Her actions clearly demonstrate that the view outside her holiday home is more important to her than proper resource consent processes, a protected surf break and all other people who will suffer from the same negative affects of the cycleway she is now submitting against.	151	172	21	KyRT

So is this her primary residence or her holiday home? Isnt she MP for Selwyn? She has more influence than people who had to be moved in the name of progress in upper Cuba st or for Waterview. Amy Adams electorate is Selwyn so thats where her MP attentions should be focused. Her (additional) property lies inside the Waitaki electorate. Her opposal to this cycle way is a direct conflict of interest and she should not have a deciding say for the sake of her own interests.	87	106	19	Trains

Adams owns her property but she does not own the property around her exclusive elite hide away, this country if full of selfish people who dont want to share our great outdoors, unfortunately we have a lot of them in parliament looking after their own selfish self interests.	74	77	3	Davebrown333
Three years ago a shared path was proposed to go through a reserve very close to us as part of the major cycle way programme in Christchurch . The area was wild, dodgy , and felt unsafe. Several residents objected to it going near their back yards citing similar reasons as Amy Adams has , despite some having 1.8m fences and would not have been affected in any way. The emotion was pitiful . Today it is a safe and happy route giving local residents a wide path to walk and scooter with their children to a school, also on the reserve, rather than busy rat run streets. The majority of users are on foot, but every day 300 to 400 people bike through the reserve using this path on the way to the CBD. It is now a fantastic area for people, a real community asset as during school travel time, the whole area is party central. People mix with each other, something that never happened when driving the big vehicle and trying to park it somewhere. Whilst Amy Adams has every right to make her objections unless theyre truly valid it is disappointing , and certainly wont win her many friends.	73	76	3	Robert21
